It seems fairly obvious what's happening, which is what makes the lack of a fix so infuriating. It doesn't seem tied to a particular time, with the exception of the weekly reset.
1. Players seem to be able, once the weekly battles start, to be able to play as usual.
2. If players exit the game and then later play again, the solo battles no longer work. Entering the solo battles screen shows a blank rewards screen, which would indicate that the game is triggering the end of the current solo battles early, after the initial play session, but before the actual scheduled end of the weekly battles. That also explains why we all see the rankings screen and also why the weekly reset makes the games available again.
3. The problem for EA is to figure out what is triggering that early ending for affected players. So, can anyone affected by this think of something unique that might have done it? The only thing I can think of is that I usually start with the featured battle, but I've skipped it the last few weeks (I. e. The weeks I've been affected) to play some low OVR teams and try to level up before the season ended.
I hope someone here will post if it gets fixed. I'm done for now. I see no value in continuing to spend time and money on a game that is broken and shows no sign of being fixed.

@DeadSer Hi, #2 Isn't valid for me. typically I start on Friday and continue to play on Saturday up until around 1pm EST. I had some extra time and wrapped up Legend today on Friday. I closed everything down and I was able to still get in on restart to play more games. FYI - It seems like they changed the Legend rewards this week. I wasn't focused and didn't pick what I really wanted so pay attention.

I was really only going by what I had read in posts on the thread, and it seemed like for most people, including me, that it was a one and done. The more info we can give, the better chance they can fix it. Thanks for the tip on the Legends, too!

Went in to play this morning and I got a Restricted Error. Is it just me or others?
Edit: Never mind. Opened back up and I can still play.

I always do the featured game. This week I have the solo battles. I am making sure I completely close the game each time I stop, even for a few seconds. That is the only thing I did different this week, and this week I haven’t lost them so far. I had gone three weeks without.
EA has sent us all to this forum for too long with no updates.
They keep feigning ignorance and saying they "need more information" despite there being several people giving them exactly the information they are looking for.
Solo battles are NOT functioning.
You can complete a certain number of them, or sometimes none at all.
It just eventually locks you into the rank screen that shows you your tiers, and then the top 100, and you cannot continue your solo battles.
That is the issue EA, and the one you still refuse to fix. You need no further information, you are just simply not going to fix it because you do not care about your customer base.

I make sure I manually close the game now when I am done. Doing this has allowed me to keep my games. I hope that it continues to prevent me losing games. It is a step I wish wasn’t necessary. However, it works.

Closing it and making sure info was synced worked for me.... until it didn't. This last set of battles? Even though I closed and synced? Still locked me out.
One thing I might have done differently this time around? I got the report of my status for the set of battles before that, and I was given an option of a) continue or b) exit. I'm pretty sure I always select exit. This time I selected continue (without thinking), and that's the time I got locked out when I went back into the solo battles. (i.e. No available battles)
So I managed to get through to EA chat. They are apparently fully aware of this issue and the game studio is working on a fix. They have had many reports of the issue. Just shows that even with all the reports they still don't care.
No way do I believe they are working on a fix its been too long.
