Re: Madden 26 Superstar mode Broken

There is an ongoing issue with Madden NFL 26 Superstar game mode. Several discussions have already been initiated regarding issues related to data retrieval and overall server related issues. Some have even been closed with EA Sports claiming that the issue was resolved. But, it has not been. It has now just happened to my own experience.

Sequentially, the game boots up on my XBox X/S console and successfully links with the EA server. Then I attempt to start Superstar mode, but each time I get two error messages. The first that pops up reads: "There was an error retrieving the data. Please, try again later." Within a split second of that message appearing a second error message pops up overtop of it reading: "You have lost your connection to the EA Servers. You will be unable to access any online features until you sign in to the EA Servers again. See ea.com/unable-to-connect for additional information."

Then, when the game automatically reverts to the main menu, it shows I am disconnected to the server, but I am able to successfully reconnect. However, any additional attempts to open Superstar repeats the same cycle of outcomes. Superstar will not open.

This appears to be another manifest of the overall server related issues impacting Superstar mode that have frustrated EA customers since October. This is unacceptable, and since they start happening well after the timeline for seeking a refund, it seems EA is leaving paying customers out in the cold. This is not acceptable conduct.

No, there is no fix. I have uninstalled Madden NFL 26 from my console and have no plans to reinstall it. For my purposes the game is a dead title, utterly broken and unworking. EA Sports has shown zero interest in fixing their game and at this point it seems clear they will refuse to fix it.
It seems clear that an update made after initial release caused a data corruption issue in the server that EA Sports requires to be active to play the otherwise offline Superstar game mode. In short, EA Sports broke their offline game mode and shows no interest in fixing it.
I am mulling over whether to organize a class action lawsuit because it seems that is the only way to grab EA Sport's attention and hold them to account for ruining their own game.
