Offline Franchise Freezing At Halftime (Co-Op, PS5)

First time in a bit I had some hype for a Madden game, mainly due to the halftime/weekly shows as I like immersion and actually seeing what's going on around the league. But it feels like I'm not allowed to as I can't even get past Week 1 because the game always freezes at halftime. I get the highlights from other games just fine, but after it goes through the "Games Around the League" section, the game freezes on a blue screen (music still plays) and I can't do anything about it. This has happened like 4 times before I decided "Ok I'll take the L here and skip halftime", but when I skip, it'll freeze on the halftime logo before eventually throwing me back to the blue screen from before. This is all on co-op as I play with my brother (and sometimes solo as I enjoy playing god and making the games go how I want them to go and making my own stories) so idk if that's causing the issue or what. Franchise is my go-to but I can't enjoy it as it's unplayable
