Practice Mode - Double Click L3 - Playcalling

When in practice mode, I noticed that when I double-click L3 to run a random play from 11 personnel (or any personnel), the system does not properly run random plays with 11 personnel. The same is true for the defensive side of the ball. I would like to run random nickel coverages against the 11 personnel, but the system just runs random plays from any defensive set. 

I believe the double-click L3 feature when playcalling in practice does not work properly. I don't see anyone else reporting this, so it may be user error. I also play on PS5 if that matters.
