Superstar Sphere of Influence Data not deleting for new characters

I thought it was only me. It makes Superstar essentially unplayable. I feel like I'm in an abusive relationship with EA. They do something that in any other context, is "unforgivable", I swear that I'm done, then they promise me that things are going to be different this time, they aren't, and the cycle continues...😐
