No Owners in Franchise mode

This much a question as trying to under a rather big change. So I hadn't bought the game yet. But my buddy did. Well going into franchise, we noticed the lack of owner control, instead they lumped it with coaching. Now I know the owner doesn't get into the game, but I like at times times just being the gm and owner with sim seasons, focus on the off season. Unless I am wrong, and I have asked EA to provide understanding that, I see that some of that is moved into being the coach, and kinda forcing you to be a coach with all the new abilities. Granted, Franchise needed some new blood for years, but this is forcing us to play this mode this way only, while nothing new was added....yes coach dna is new but its really pointless if it can be turned off, or me who barely plays the game part....Gameplay looks good but still plays like stinky old madden with still issues that have not been fixed in years.
