Why Did You Kill Owner Mode?

Great question, and I hope someone answers this discussion. I had thought, like many people, that being an owner would still be an option in Franchise Mode but it's not "in the game". Maybe they will patch it in if enough people ask for it. Honestly, I never understood why they don't just have a GM mode. Being a GM/President of operations is more immersive than being a coach. I am a big Raiders fan, so what happens after one season when the game decides that Pete Carroll retires? Guess I will have to simulate a season and find out.
