Im just gonna lay it out there and hope EA finally decides to make these changes:
First off, I love madden but....
Franchise mode still sucks, its very simple, basic, monotone, lazy and has no depth.
Needs: 2k Sports already does this, btw...
In-depth contract negotiations (the ability to set the option to void out remaining years of a contract before offering a contract, custom alternate uniform creation for real teams, fully customizable head coachs (from eye color to actual weight size), return of the balanced, run & gun, traditional west coast, spread, etc playbooks, actual coordinators who can be developed and hired to other teams HC vacancies, return of the GM franchise mode, in depth roster decisions, impactful player moods, off-field concerns before and during scouting and draft periods, off-field issues during the season. Taunting fouls, horse collar fouls, roughness when running out of bounds on the QB calls, ejections during the game, Suspensions for a game to a season. More teams making impactful trades. Random trades from teams for players who seem disgruntled. No trade clause options, more clause options in general, the ability option to offer a HC, GM status if level and wins reach certain benchmarks. The ability to promote from within. More in depth coaching staff (HC, AHC, OC, DC, AOC, ADC, LB coach, Wide Receivers coach, Secondary Coach, OL coach, DL coach, QB coach). The ability to have 1 coach hold 2 positions (The OC can also be the QB or WR, The DC can also be the DL, Secondary, or LB coach simultaneously.) The ability to hire coaches from college. More in depth x-factor traits.
Superstar could use a major in-depth dialogue rehaul, its garbage. Same cutscene moments with the same dialogue. It has no depth at all. Decisions need to have some and more effect on career. Not just lower or boost relationships, the relationships are bare minimum usage. Need some depth, needs an immersed world you can enter to join your teammates for weekly activities. Be able to buy a house, a car, start a charity, raise money, more in depth brand moments. Meeting Jordan or Taylor swift, yes, Taylor swift. Marketing purposes.. Having random celebrities at the games during the opening kickoff. The ability to influence free agents that you built connection with in college or while playing for the same team they played on.
The anthem should be played before the game with the flag covering the field. Just like in the games. Playoff games need more of a major feel. Commentary needs ALOT of work and way more depth all the way around and the music choice for games should go to a voting system from the public each year.
