Superstar CB and LB influence

The sphere of influence is fine for offensive positions but defensive positions make my quarterback hate me. I get -30 influence for simply letting up a first down but only +13 if I hold them to a punt. It’s a net -17 if I let up a first down and still make them punt. I don’t understand why my quarterback is mad at me for forcing a punt. Also why does he care so much about a touchdown if we are already up 30? The quarterback blames me for letting up a touchdown on the other side of the field and get -100. My quarterback hating me makes the offense bad and impossible to win games. I don’t know why he expects me to get interceptions on every play.
