Losing for no reason

Trust me when I say these same sentiments are felt by many.

Odd...  Every game I play is skill based.  

Let me guess...  You're playing the CPU in Franchise?  The reason that's my guess is because the experiences of players that compete against other players or against the CPU are diametrically opposed with regards to how large a factor SKILL plays in Madden.  

Take me for example...  When I play my opponents (all human), I am looking at how skillfully they play the game. 

Can they cover with their user?
Can they tackle with their user?
Do they disguise their coverage?
Do they use the entire field?
Where do their eyes go?
How quickly do they process information?
How patient are they?
How do they handle pressure?
What about me?

But if you're playing the CPU - you aren't assessing the skill of your opponent, NOR are you critical of your own. 

I can assure you that the games you're losing are not because the CPU decides before hand.  You're losing for definite FOOTBALL reasons.  

You've mismanaged the clock, missed an open receiver, took the wrong angle, didn't punt or kick when you should have, etc... There's literally HUNDREDS of ways to lose a football game.  All of those reasons apply in Madden.  

That said, because Madden is a video game and allows you to do things in the game that you could never do in real life (like switching players with the ball in the air), there are also ways specific to Madden that will also lose you games.  

But, since you want to hang your hat on realism, what do you would happen to the coach or player that complains in a press conference that the 3 straight losses were out of his control?  CUT or FIRED. That's realistic....  Personal responsibility for the loss is realistic. 

Simulate that and you won't blame the CPU nearly as much.
