EA baseless bans are the worst
I’ve recently been banned for coin distribution on MUT. I spend most my time playing the game on the menus doing sets or on the auction house. I was making a lot of coins with the changeover between Zero chill and playoff promo as the market as a whole rose. I had a total value in my club of around 15mil and about 7.5mil coins. My appeal for my ban has also been rejected without any explanation or proof at all. I see a lot of people in a similar situation with EA applying baseless bans. The fact that you cannt actually get in direct contact with the Tos team only the 1,000 character message with the appeal is an absolute joke, how are you supposed to establish an understanding of what you have or havent done or explain the situation in that little paragraph. I have played titles from fifa12 - madden26 and this is the first time anything like this has ever happened but its crazy to believe that they do not take any of that into account. I just received a security ban, all my coins were taken 1.4 million. I won two legends super bowls today and even bought a pack and EA has just robbed me of my entire currency. For zero reason. I was banned from EAMADDEN26 Twitch chat for absolutely no reason. I tried to ask for a transcript of what I supposedly did; I got nothing but a bot rejecting my appeal and a big nothing. I've been on Madden since the first release, June 1, 1988. My wife and I have been building MUT teams since MUT first released on January 7, 2010. I'm really close to leaving Madden altogether. My wife wants to leave now; we enjoyed watching MCS and Good Morning Madden. I highly doubt anyone will ever actually read this, but my therapist said that keeping my frustrations bottled up can lead to a plethora of other health problems, so it's important to air your grievances...even if it's in an empty chat room. Any-who... Now I'm no financial expert, or software developer, or anything even remotely related, but what I AM, is a long time gamer, who isn't difficult to please. Which is why I can't understand why myself, and the Madden community as a whole, is annually given this digital disappointment? Okay, perhaps I'm being too harsh. While I COMPLETELY understand that at the end of the day you guys are a business, who's exists for no other reason, but to make money for the investors, and the only question plaguing investors isn't "are we producing a quality product?" or "Are the customers happy and/or satisfied?". It's "Did they buy it?" and if the answer is "yes", then who cares about the rest. And more often than not, in a free market economy, that's fine because if you're unhappy with any aspect of the product, you can cease to patronize the offending company and give your money to a company that better fits your needs, values their customers, provides a superior service, or whatever. But unfortunately, when it comes to Madden, we, the customers/gamers, are not privvy to such a luxury. I believe that I speak for MANY gamers, when I say that we feel as though we are not valued, and feel almost as though we're being taunted. I find it difficult to believe that developers and decision-makers are completely oblivious to the conundrum faced by madden players world wide. "You have an issue with our game?...Don't buy it. Go purchase it from another developer...oh. That's right...you can't". So you guys know that whether we're still dealing with the same bugs from 5 iterations ago, swear we're not buying it next year, or just **bleep** and moan in an empty forum, like I'm doing now, that next year...we'll be in line, 80 bucks in hand. Which kinda feels like "diet extortion". I honestly just wish I could get a few questions answered. I think that the entire community would appreciate some level of transparency. I PROMISE you, helping us to understand why certain things are the way they are, would do wonders for us all. For instance...a common theme with players, is that we can't understand why the same bugs make their in-game appearance, year after year? Now I'm not going to sit up here and pretend to even remotely grasp the inconceivable complexities of turning zeros and one's into the game we know today, because I don't. But from talking to, interacting with, and scrubbing forums the general consensus is clear. Players care more about a playable, working title, than they do about new features. Look...I get it, you want to make it appear as though you're giving us something fresh and new...[Spoiler Alert] It never feels fresh OR new. Like some things just feel completely counterintuitive. Like why introduce ANYTHING new, with all of the stuff that needs to be fixed? Does that make sense? But this is the basis of all of our frustrations. For instance...The addition of the Sphere of Influence. I think it's great! Awesome addition, in theory...but it's broken. And not only is it broken, but the SAME quests that haven't worked in YEARS (get 3 3rd down stops/Force a fumble on a Boom Stick/Get a goal line stop) STILL don't work! No exaggeration...I've never completed all of the quests in Superstar...EVER. Because there is ALWAYS at least 1 that's impossible to trigger in game. So now not only do I have 4 Head coaches, 3 DCs, 5 S&C coaches, and teammates from long deleted profiles, forcing my current teammates to be "inactive", making them impossible to upgrade, but I still can't complete the same quests I've been unable to complete for no less than the last FIVE iterations. So instead of the Sphere of Influence adding to, and creating a more enjoyable gaming experience, it's just added new bugs to the mix, while compounding the old, creating an overall LESS enjoyable experience. And this is what's frustrating. I would rather you give me this exact game, no other additions, just updated teams and rosters, and use the time that would've been designated for "creating a more immersive experience", for creating a playable, enjoyable game. I don't think you guys understand the gravity of one year giving your loyal fan base a game we can actually play. Anyway...I've gone on far too long. I'm actually ashamed of myself for even HAVING this much to say on the topic. I dont even know where to begin with Madden, year after year, failing to deliver the most basic of game physics. In the clip, the football bounces off the hands of 4 defenders before eventually falling to the ground. So for every year, Madden has been my go to game. I play it a lot with friends, and it is a challenging fun experience. But when it comes to adding new features for next year, I have something I have wanted in the game for a long time. My idea comes from the section where you create a player in the "Players and Uniforms file." Adding to that, when you select a face, even on Superstar mode, there is only so many faces and it is uncommon to have an alike face close enough. It is not that EA should add more faces, but they should add a feature like NBA 2K has, where if you download the App on mobile or Google Play you can add a face scan. But it is not the face scan I am looking forward to, I hope to see EA add a feature where you can take a picture of your face and download it on the game. Then after that, when you click manage players and look at the rosters, you should be able to scroll until you find the "Create A Player" in the Roster Section and you should see your face. It would definitely give a better realistic vibe, and it would be perfect for Superstar mode even. It is totally fine if you add this Idea to the next Madden, and it starts out unrealistic, but even then. That would be a major update. lastly, try adding it to be available on console too. When you press L1/LB during a passing play, it shows you exactly how your O-line will be blocking the defense, and make adjustments (half/full-slide). This is extremely useful because it also highlights unblocked defenders that can blitz in and create pressure. Why is this view not available for running plays? O-line blocking assignments are just as important, if not moreso, on running plays to gauge gaps and identify blitzes that will blow the play up. What's more, is that this option is available within College Football, so I'm curious if this was intentionally omitted, or if it's a glitch.22Views1like0CommentsWhat NEEDS to happen in 27
I bought Madden for the first time in years because my team was actually good. Unsurprisingly, I found that many features I used to enjoy were missing; however, there were also a few new additions that I appreciated. Here’s what I personally think needs improvement in Madden 27. Team Builder teams need to be allowed to be played in exhibition games. Allow Team Builder teams to be used in offline franchise and superstar mode. Bring back owner mode/GM Mode in franchise mode for online and offline play. Allow users to control up to 5-10 teams in a franchise mode. The coach thing reminds me too much of Road to Glory. Have real career milestones and achievements in player profiles. Similar to NBA 2k, where they show if the player led the league in something or won a championship. Remove Cap space from non-franchise play. If I want to edit my roster, it shouldn't matter what the cap space is until I start my franchise season. Haven't gotten into franchise or anything yet, but have spent yesterday and today just toying with settings, sliders, and testing overall gameplay. I'll break it down into positives, negatives, and bugs/glitches I've run into so far. For the record, my User ID is BrandOG-182; Platform is PS5. POSITIVES: OVERALL GAMEPLAY: To my surprise feels pretty good actually considering the horrible experience CFB turned out to be. Movement is fluid and feels good; able to make good cuts on offense while running the ball, and good angle adjustments on defense while pursuing. Have only needed to make minimal adjustments to sliders, even being on All-Madden. Seems to be in a pretty solid place overall on both sides of the ball. Really plays like a pretty good game of football right now. Hopefully this remains fairly balanced at launch and after updates. SETTINGS: The amount of customization within the settings is excellent! From wear & tear, to weather; sliders & penalties, the ability to adjust everything to suit your style of gameplay has never been better. Haven't touched Franchise yet, but even last year, the XP sliders ability to adjust to age and position are great! This remains a strong positive and continues to improve. ANIMATIONS: New tackle and throw animations are really really nice additions, adding to the realism and overall emersion of the game. RUN BLOCKING: Even just blocking in general feels much better this year so far than previous years, and certainly a far cry from the dumpster fire experience it was within CFB. Running feels much much better compared to last year to the point the Run Blocking slider might even have to come down a bit. Will have to go through a season of franchise and see how the numbers look though. Pass blocking doesn't feel too overpowered for CPU, nor underpowered for the Player on 50 each, so that's pretty huge I feel. PLEASE, DO NOT screw this up with a future update! STUNTS: Were a great addition to CFB and are a great addition to Madden as well. RESTART GAME OPTION: A pretty nice touch as a Play Now option instead of just having the normal Quit option. Hopefully will see this in Franchise too. NEGATIVES: RATINGS: These are a matter of debate and discourse every year, but going through each team again this year, they still just feel out of touch with reality and leave me asking why a lot. I would really like to see more guys in the low to mid 70's, and far less in the 60's than I'm seeing. Some guys just really need some more respect on their name. Like, why is Matthew Stafford, a Super Bowl winner, still not at least a Superstar and yet Baker Mayfield (who I love as a QB so no hate toward him), is? Jared Goff with numbers he's put up is another. So many people either over or underrated. Make it make sense! These ratings affect how schemes work and play within game too, and too often I see them adjusted to make a guy fit a scheme while not emphasizing their individual skills within that position. This is especially relevant with linebackers, in which some can both rush the passer and play coverage really well at times. Good example of how it affects gameplay and scheme; Travis Hunter. Good at DB and WR. I'm afraid to even see the schemes in Franchise they were so jacked up last year. Idk who evaluates these each year, but DO BETTER PLEASE!!! KNOCKOUTS & 50/50 BALLS: My real problem with this is not just consistency, but how it pertains to overalls. This problem is exclusive to All-Madden to my knowledge because that's all I've played. Curious about other difficulties though. Whether it's knockouts or catches, they just seem to favor CPU way too consistently. I shouldn't need Superstar abilities to favor a catch or knockout when my CTH, CIT, SPC, or CVG calculates higher than the opponents player. I've had to turn CPU catching slider way down as they just do not drop the ball that often. Way too often have there been players with lower overalls coming down with, or knocking out balls against much higher overall players. This was a problem last year, and it was problem in CFB at launch with way too many 50/50 balls favoring the catch. This needs tuning. Overalls and ratings need to matter, even on All-Madden/Heisman. THAT BEHIND THE BACK KNOCKOUT ANIMATION: If you know, you know. It's in CFB as well...GET RID OF IT!!! Just terrible... QB RUNS/RUN OPTIONS: Seem very slow to launch; almost laggy. Not sure if this is just play design or buggy, but they feel as if they need a little tune up. CUSTOM UNIFORMS: The options are not great here. I liked it a few years ago when you could create multiple combinations from the whole selection of available uniforms, including the older 80s, 90s, etc versions. I hope at least the selection gets better after true launch, but we'll see. Also, the overall layout is a bit disorganized. DOWNLOADS: Specifically pertaining to older rosters/draft classes for nostalgic franchises. Been asking for this for some time now. Still no All-Time Teams either. Extremely disappointing for Franchise Mode, but I remain hopeful for possible future updates. BUGS/GLITCHES/MISLABELS SETTINGS --> GAME CONTROLS --> DEFENSE ENGAGED --> SPEED RUSH: On PS5, R2 is mislabeled here as R1 here. KICKOFF: Glitchy animation on kickoff where there appears to be a weird stutter and the kicker looks like he sort of glides across the turf instead of a fluid motion as with extra points and punts. ID MIKE: The ID Mike icon glitches out and disappears every so often. Hopefully this won't be an issue with routes as it was last year as well. So far haven't had the problem with routes in Play Now, but will have to see in Franchise. EXTRA POINT KICKS: I have the Kicking set to Multi-Meter; Tap and Tap. Every so often the extra tap doesn't register on the power gage, and the ball goes wide, even with the accuracy being good and aligned toward the middle for good accuracy on the first tap. So far this is all I've been able to discern and come up with after the first 24 hours. Going to dive into Franchise soon and leave a post in the Franchise section with what I find there. I was banned for "Coin distribution," which I obviously have not done. I obviously appealed close to a month ago now and have patiently waited for responses as I'm pretty sure I was banned from EAs bot as many others have been. Now, 5+ appeals later, I don't understand how that is fair when I was banned for no reason. This happened to me on Madden 21 years ago, and months after they finally unbanned the account. This account I had 70M coins and 1k hours played, and it's just all gone because of a bot. I guess as I've asked for details on the ban and they have told me they cannot go into details. Which again makes absolutely no sense to me at all. What am I supposed to do? There is nobody I can get in contact with? Hey Devs, I’m sitting here watching videos of 2000’s to 2010’s classic defenses like legion of boom and the Ray Lewis Ravens. Then I thought, why can’t I play as those defenses in an exhibition online or local game? I thought of 2k where they have the “classic” teams with the lineups from those years. This is a thread I wanted to start so everyone on here can have their ideas seen and heard by EA_Shepard and other EA Staff while also having a single, organized place to share them. This in turn makes it easier to read and organize these thoughts in order to pass on to dev teams. Please be respectful and feel free to put down anything you would want to see in a coming update or in newer games to come. I'll start by adding these ideas: Downloadable Rosters & Draft Classes from past years for nostalgic Franchises. Customizable Divisions and Schedules like what is found in CFB (Great for Fantasy). Reincluding the option of Coaching Legends for Coach Mode (Also Great for Fantasy). Possibly reinclude custom facial uploads for custom coaches in Coach Mode. Revamped and reincluded Player/Owner Modes. - Ultimately to summarize this: For Owner Mode, I'd like to see Team Builder tied more exclusively to a new version of this where customization of everything from the ground up is key for the most customizable experience ever. For Player Mode, I'd like what little works well within Superstar to be tied to a new, revamped Player Mode, where the storylines and cutscenes are more included here, and less in other modes. This would include being able to choose an existing player within a franchise, and focus exclusively on their career; OR, create a new player and start as you would within Superstar. I'd like to see Team Builder weaved into relocation for all online modes and somehow introduced into offline. Inclusion of holding the L2/LT to Switch Stick to minimize switching by accident, especially while trying to pass rush. Include more cities and teams for Relocation. Cities where franchises already exist like Miami, LA, or Detroit, as well as new ones like Boston, Phoenix, or Birmingham. More Stadium options for Relocation. Reinclude Build a Stadium within Team Builder. I'm talking from scratch...not just editing the field. Reinclude the ability to edit and create more custom uniform combinations. Within the Edit Rosters section of the Creation Center, more flexibility to edit a player's contract, abilities, etc, would be nice. Better Training Camp - Introduce some ability to gain physical STR, SPD, AGI, COD, by introducing some of the game found in Superstar like the 3Cone, Weightlifting, 40YD, etc. - This is where mini-games shine. Make games open for more players to train and have them more focused on gaining skill points and less on XP and Rookie Reps. This is a great way to help maintain the physical ability of Vets, or take your high-level Superstars to the next level. Revamp Weekly Training - Make this less focused on mini-games and tie it more to Practice Mode and gaining XP/Rookie Reps. The way the have Wear & Tear worked into this is nice; Now just optimize it. Optimize Coach Central and Coaching Abilities. - It's a bit to type but my thoughts on this can be found in my "M26 Franchise Feedback thread" thread. I feel that's a pretty good start for now.
