MADDEN 26-27 IMPROVEMENT IDEAS
This is a thread I wanted to start so everyone on here can have their ideas seen and heard by EA_Shepard and other EA Staff while also having a single, organized place to share them. This in turn makes it easier to read and organize these thoughts in order to pass on to dev teams. Please be respectful and feel free to put down anything you would want to see in a coming update or in newer games to come. I'll start by adding these ideas: Downloadable Rosters & Draft Classes from past years for nostalgic Franchises. Customizable Divisions and Schedules like what is found in CFB (Great for Fantasy). Reincluding the option of Coaching Legends for Coach Mode (Also Great for Fantasy). Possibly reinclude custom facial uploads for custom coaches in Coach Mode. Revamped and reincluded Player/Owner Modes. - Ultimately to summarize this: For Owner Mode, I'd like to see Team Builder tied more exclusively to a new version of this where customization of everything from the ground up is key for the most customizable experience ever. For Player Mode, I'd like what little works well within Superstar to be tied to a new, revamped Player Mode, where the storylines and cutscenes are more included here, and less in other modes. This would include being able to choose an existing player within a franchise, and focus exclusively on their career; OR, create a new player and start as you would within Superstar. I'd like to see Team Builder weaved into relocation for all online modes and somehow introduced into offline. Inclusion of holding the L2/LT to Switch Stick to minimize switching by accident, especially while trying to pass rush. Include more cities and teams for Relocation. Cities where franchises already exist like Miami, LA, or Detroit, as well as new ones like Boston, Phoenix, or Birmingham. More Stadium options for Relocation. Reinclude Build a Stadium within Team Builder. I'm talking from scratch...not just editing the field. Reinclude the ability to edit and create more custom uniform combinations. Within the Edit Rosters section of the Creation Center, more flexibility to edit a player's contract, abilities, etc, would be nice. Better Training Camp - Introduce some ability to gain physical STR, SPD, AGI, COD, by introducing some of the game found in Superstar like the 3Cone, Weightlifting, 40YD, etc. - This is where mini-games shine. Make games open for more players to train and have them more focused on gaining skill points and less on XP and Rookie Reps. This is a great way to help maintain the physical ability of Vets, or take your high-level Superstars to the next level. Revamp Weekly Training - Make this less focused on mini-games and tie it more to Practice Mode and gaining XP/Rookie Reps. The way the have Wear & Tear worked into this is nice; Now just optimize it. Optimize Coach Central and Coaching Abilities. - It's a bit to type but my thoughts on this can be found in my "M26 Franchise Feedback thread" thread. I feel that's a pretty good start for now. Hopefully this is helpful for anyone that reads and I look forward to seeing more thoughts and ideas shared here!
Rushing Record Breaker and Passing Record Breaker not working.
EA_Kent i don't if anyone is gonna read this, but the reason these trophies/achievements are not working is because the Yardage tracker in franchise mode stops tracking yardage after reaching about 1,023 yards, effectively preventing the trophies/achievements from unlocking, can you guys maybe try to fix the yardage tracker before abandoning this game? Since about Easter I have not been able to play any online games modes. I'm a MUT player and online H2H player. The game has been completely unplayable since easter. It literally kicks you out every 1-5 minutes. Then if it doesn't kick you out it just freezes up. I've tried to get ahold of some type of customer service but that turned out to be pointless as I could not get ahold of anyone any kind of support or anything. Just kept asking the same questions in a loop of some sort. Has anyone else been having this issue. I've tried all the restarts and undownloaded and redownloaded the game. My Internet is not the problem either. I know it's EA.
Defense: Add two buttons for swat, one for each hand
This has always been a minor annoyance -Why is my DB swatting with the wrong hand? From pop-warner, DB's are taught to swat with the inside arm, so that the outside arm is able to make a tackle if you miss the swat. This results in sometimes the DB mysteriously swatting behind the receiver: https://youtu.be/SKp3rsOq54g Solution: - Add intelligence to the animation to use the correct hand or Add a settings menu toggle to allow for some kind of modifier that allows the user to swat with either the left or right hand. When this is enabled, L1 & R1 become left swat & right swat, respectively, while X remains just a normal swat driven by the animation engine. I don't believe L1 & R1 are used in pass defense today.Madden 27
I would like to speak for probably every player who enjoys offline franchise/creation modes. As much money as we spend on your game why do you not listen to the fans and players alike ? Things I would like to see in the new madden - stadium relocation : can we have a new variety or actual customization of new stadiums such as team names logos uniforms stadium environments!? Like actually create our own name not armadillos and the other nonsense provided names , our own color schemes logos jersey types , or the ability to create a new division to extend the league to more teams ?Linemen Superstar/Road to glory
Ea, please, ADD OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE LINEMAN POSITIONS TO CAREER MODE! A idea could be for offensive lineman blocking machines be different, such as, holding L2 and hitting R1 to do a certain type of block and other L2 combating for different types of blocks. And for pancakes I think L2 + R2 + R1 + L1 does a rush block to well “ pancake “. For player playstyles or architectures I have a few ideas. 1: Power : Muscular or heavy build at 6’3 minimum 280+ with highest stats being strength, power blocking and balance. Best skill to use : Rush Block ( pancake assertive block ) 2. Rapid: Slim or average, based off speed 5’11 minimum 190+ based off acceleration and explosiveness, highest stats being speed and drive blocking 3. Balanced: Average or muscular 6’1 minimum 230+ well rounded with highest stats being set. Madden 27 Superstar Mode Suggestion
To the EA Sports Madden Development Team, I am writing as a Senior Project Manager and a dedicated player of your football games. This document provides a strategic analysis of why Superstar Mode is fundamentally unplayable for your most engaged customers and offers solutions to address this issue. The mode is a failure because it is built on a design philosophy that actively fights the player. It intentionally removes player agency, deletes our investment, and forces us into a broken, repetitive, and unrealistic "story" that shows a profound disconnect from what football fans actually want. Part 1: The "Slap in the Face" – The Broken CFB Import This is the mode's #1 failure and a breach of trust with your community. The Problem: The marketing promised our "Road to Glory" would continue. The reality is that you are destroying our career. The Evidence: Ratings Nerf: 99-OVR, Heisman-winning legends from CFB import into Madden as 65-66 OVR rookies. This is not a "head start"; it's a "slap in the face" that invalidates dozens of hours of our time. Achievements Mean Nothing: All our CFB stats, records, and awards (Heismans, etc.) are deleted. Madden only imports our name, appearance, and college. The 'Why': You are deleting our story to force us to play your "rookie" story. This is the core reason the mode is "unplayable." The Solution: Honor Our Investment: A 99-OVR CFB player must import as a "Generational Prospect" (80-82 OVR) with an X-Factor. Make Records Matter: The commentary must reference our Heismans. Our college stats must be logged in our "Career Stats" page. Part 2: The Core Philosophy Failure: Stop Removing Player Control You are actively fighting your players by locking them out of basic game functions. Exhibit A: Locked Sliders & Settings The Problem: Sliders, penalties, and game settings are "greyed out" and locked. The Solution: Unlock all sliders and settings. If I want to "write my own story" as a 99-OVR player on Rookie, let me. This is the most basic form of player agency. Exhibit B: Locked Football Mechanics The Problem: It is "crazy" that a rookie QB cannot call hot routes or audibles. The 'Why': This is a profound misunderstanding of football. You are locking a fundamental game mechanic behind a "coach rep" grind. Every real-life rookie QB can call a hot route. The Solution: Immediately unlock all basic pre-snap mechanics. Progression should focus on attributes (improvement), rather than regaining basic game functions. Exhibit C: The Unrealistic "Grind" Economy The Problem: Forcing professional athletes to "pay" (with "Cred") for their own cleats, gloves, and visors. The 'Why': This is anti-realistic. It's an artificial grind (taking an entire season to "buy 1 item") designed to push players toward microtransactions. The Solution: Unlock all on-field equipment from Day 1. Exhibit D: The "Forced Story" No One Asked For The Problem: The "forced interactions" and repetitive, buggy cutscenes are a "real turn-off." The mode is a "Press A" chore, not a game. The Solution: Scrap the linear story. Replace it with a simple, College Football-style weekly menu. Conclusion: The Path Forward (The "Director" Mode) The fix is to pivot from a "story" to a "sandbox." Give Us Control: Unlock all sliders, editors, and on-field mechanics. Honor Our CFB Career: Make the import actually matter. Integrate with Franchise: Stop building Superstar as a broken, separate app. Make it the "Player" mode within the main Franchise ecosystem. This instantly gives us all the stats, league news, and logical AI that are currently missing. Stop forcing a bad story on us. Please give us the tools and let us write the career we want.THIS GAME HAS WENT TO TRASH.
After the season8 update. The server crashes all the time. When your at auction, play a game or even just browsing the menu it crashes. Last season and it worthless. The time and money building a team for what . I will join any class action suit for the return of my money . They are making in the cash on a non playable game.Did EA Nerf your team?
What would it take to have a clean slate? This is really for whoever at EA or representing EA is reading this and for those who experience something similar. All I wanna do is play this game on an even playing field like I used to, but that will require somebody at EA first looking at my account and seeing that it has been tampered with and that somebody at EA cannot and I repeat cannot be from EA help because somebody at EA help is the one that did this Somebody over there Nerf to my team about two months ago and there has been nothing and I repeat nothing that I can do to undo what they’ve done It does not matter the OVR of my team. It doesn’t matter the OVR of the player, and it doesn’t matter the OVR’s are still level of the players or people that I play my opponents. Something has been applied to my account that makes my players slower and weaker than the opponent. I have chats recorded of people at EA help saying they can see something was done to my account but that they cannot undo it themselves because they don’t have the authority. I don’t know what that something is specifically yet, but it seems most likely that it is the thing that they say they don’t do in Madden, which is dynamic difficulty adjustment or DDA. Whatever it is, I just want to stop. I just wanna play this game. I’m an even playing field like everybody else gets to. The way it is right now EA stole my money and then when I complained about it too much, they took away my ability to enjoy the game. I don’t think that the company itself supports this type of retaliatory action against a person that plays their game but certainly somebody at EA help did something to my account. The same exact players on other people’s teams perform remarkably different than mine even my opponents notice it in game and comment on it Has nothing to do with chemistry chemistry are set as good as they can be as good as anyone else’s has nothing to do with gameplay. My gameplay is above average. And in fact, the more and more I play and lose and lose and lose and lose about 98% of my games over the last two months while my team is allegedly improving mind you all of this is going to show in the data because statistically points to tampering if a person loses 98% of their games while their team is in the upper two or 3% of what is possible to build, back in point to one of two things. One person is really really bad at the game or, two, something has been done to their game to make it more likely than not that they will lose regardless of improvements to their team— and it is certainly the latter of these that is affecting me, and I just want it to stop. How does a person field a 87 OVR team or a 92 OVR team and their players on the field in the game are faster and stronger than my 96 of VR team or what is now a 97 VR team how does that make sense? In fact it’s so obvious that something is done to my players and my team no matter who I put on the field, my opponent even noticed it. Mathematically, this will show as an anomaly because it is statistically improbable that every opponent that I faith has a better team and is a better player they’re not, and I know that because when I play in the regs I win — by far — more than I lose. The thing is if they did this to me, they do it to other people too. Maybe you have experienced something similar and couldn’t explain it and had people call you crazy if you considered that maybe they did something to make it that way for you, but I can assure you if that happened to you you’re not crazy just like I am not crazy. What is crazy is a company that will steal a customer’s money and then retaliate against them when they complain about it by intentionally making their product deficient. that is what has occurred. anyone that can prove they don’t work for EA and would like to see my evidence and to have me what they’ve done like odd by all means will gladly share it. I don’t need to share it with the people at EA because they can see for themselves and I don’t necessarily want to give these people what I have on them if this has to go before the court and in a civil suit. I’m desperate I don’t want to have to take it to court but if it doesn’t change, I am going to take it both too court, and I can assure you, I will take it to the street the moment I find out who the individual was that thought it was a good idea to torment me like this. This is a plea for this to stop, and it is a siren for the other players out there: this can happen to you too. As it stands, EA stole my money, and then when I complained too loudly about it, stole my joy. I have not won this contest. I should not have to be in a contest withEA. I should not have to lose my money to EA for nothing — no service or product that was ever given. I have been on the losing end of thievery and psychological warfare from you EA. Just stop. Hi, my name is Henry and I am senior at high school committed to Vanderbilt University and I spend about an hour a day playing Madden 26 and I have a dream in football which got me into the game in the first place, see the first Madden I ever spent quality time on was an ncaa game and I miss the feature of where you could import rosters from ncaa to Madden, because continuing the career of the players you started made it so fun and addicting. I’m not a game expert but I know that the game wants do addict its viewers and audience. Please listen to this too, because in a few years I will have a job and maybe a wife and kids, I won’t have time for the game but I want the next generation after me to feel the excitement of importing players from college to madden and continuing their career. Trust, me quick play gets old and franchise really doesn’t so add this please! Lastly lol add custom face scans from consoles lowkey with the companion app or with something else of your choice just consider adding that too.

Hey all, I create this tread so that everyone can share there creation right here with their name so that we can download teams we like. I'll start my name is Jay-F and i like to create teams that are not in a nfl states marquet. I like to create flamboyant uniforms (I used to create team from players demands in here back in 2014 for NCAA 14). I recently bought College Football 26, it has some bugs too but the generic faces and way equipment fits players looks much better than Madden 26. The generic faces/draft pick faces and gear is so lame in Madden 26 it really has been the same for about 5 years. I recommend you just copy over the generic faces from CFB 26 and match them with likeness of each players or at least for the draft classes in franchise, offline too. The fit of helmets/mouthpiece and hair too there is clipping issues in Madden 26 makes the game look ugly. ThanksMadden 27 Franchise Mode Wishlist
I feel like there is no hope for Madden 26 Franchise Mode and wanted to share how Madden 27 can improve and fix this year's mistakes: Bring back owner mode or at least call it myGM mode and allow us to fire/hire head coaches again. Update the scouting system to be similar to College Football where we have scouting hours and able to actually uncover development traits, ratings, etc.. Ability to override retirements (I'm tired of updating ages, making multiple saves in hopes that someone doesn't retire) and retired players can come back as coaches like Madden 04 This may be me, but can we please have a select all button when starting an offline franchise. I waste so much time every year creating a new coach for each team. Offseason rule/league changes similar to NBA 2K. Allow us to expand the NFL to 40 teams if we want, change divisions, add an extra game, etc.... Can we please get real coordinaters in the NFL. Fix the recap show or scrap it, it felt like it was rushed this year just so people stop asking for it. The biggest thing I'm asking for is more emersion and control. We used to have it and y'all took it away. There's a reason people still yearn for the ole days of Madden 04 and NFL 2K5.
