I understand players like Sanders played both sides of the ball professionally but no way in the world would Tom Brady have a 99 spd and plays CB. It’s so stupid that a RT or a DL player becomes a better DB than HOF DB’s within the same game. I’m sure that $$$$$$$$$$$ is the biggest decision when creating all these OOP players. EA is going to keep putting these cards out there when people keep buying them. They promote newer versions of the same game with realism but 99% of OOP’s are nowhere near “realistic”. This is a thread I wanted to start so everyone on here can have their ideas seen and heard by EA_Shepard and other EA Staff while also having a single, organized place to share them. This in turn makes it easier to read and organize these thoughts in order to pass on to dev teams. Please be respectful and feel free to put down anything you would want to see in a coming update or in newer games to come. I'll start by adding these ideas: Downloadable Rosters & Draft Classes from past years for nostalgic Franchises. Customizable Divisions and Schedules like what is found in CFB (Great for Fantasy). Reincluding the option of Coaching Legends for Coach Mode (Also Great for Fantasy). Possibly reinclude custom facial uploads for custom coaches in Coach Mode. Revamped and reincluded Player/Owner Modes. - Ultimately to summarize this: For Owner Mode, I'd like to see Team Builder tied more exclusively to a new version of this where customization of everything from the ground up is key for the most customizable experience ever. For Player Mode, I'd like what little works well within Superstar to be tied to a new, revamped Player Mode, where the storylines and cutscenes are more included here, and less in other modes. This would include being able to choose an existing player within a franchise, and focus exclusively on their career; OR, create a new player and start as you would within Superstar. I'd like to see Team Builder weaved into relocation for all online modes and somehow introduced into offline. Inclusion of holding the L2/LT to Switch Stick to minimize switching by accident, especially while trying to pass rush. Include more cities and teams for Relocation. Cities where franchises already exist like Miami, LA, or Detroit, as well as new ones like Boston, Phoenix, or Birmingham. More Stadium options for Relocation. Reinclude Build a Stadium within Team Builder. I'm talking from scratch...not just editing the field. Reinclude the ability to edit and create more custom uniform combinations. Within the Edit Rosters section of the Creation Center, more flexibility to edit a player's contract, abilities, etc, would be nice. Better Training Camp - Introduce some ability to gain physical STR, SPD, AGI, COD, by introducing some of the game found in Superstar like the 3Cone, Weightlifting, 40YD, etc. - This is where mini-games shine. Make games open for more players to train and have them more focused on gaining skill points and less on XP and Rookie Reps. This is a great way to help maintain the physical ability of Vets, or take your high-level Superstars to the next level. Revamp Weekly Training - Make this less focused on mini-games and tie it more to Practice Mode and gaining XP/Rookie Reps. The way the have Wear & Tear worked into this is nice; Now just optimize it. Optimize Coach Central and Coaching Abilities. - It's a bit to type but my thoughts on this can be found in my "M26 Franchise Feedback thread" thread. I feel that's a pretty good start for now. As a longtime Madden player, I would like to see more development resources focused on realism, collision detection, and player awareness rather than additional cosmetic features. The biggest issue is that too many interactions are outcome-driven instead of contact-driven. Replays often reveal that tackles, fumbles, route disruptions, and pass breakups occur without realistic physical contact. Defenders can phase through receivers, helmets clip into each other, arms pass through bodies, and players are affected by contact that never actually happened. Some examples include: Receivers getting knocked off their routes by defenders who never physically touch them. Defenders breaking up passes despite their hands never reaching the ball. Fumbles occurring when replay shows little or no actual contact. Hit Stick tackles causing players to instantly collapse or launch unnaturally instead of reacting according to momentum and impact angle. Ball carriers maintaining impossible ball control during heavy contact, making the football appear glued to their hand. Player awareness and environmental interaction also need improvement. Players often continue running into objects instead of reacting naturally. Examples include: Receivers running directly into linebackers and getting stuck rather than adjusting their route. Players running into goal posts, sidelines, benches, or other players without bracing for impact or changing direction. Sideline personnel and crowd members failing to react to footballs thrown out of bounds, with the ball sometimes passing through people and stadium geometry. The overall goal should be to make every replay hold up under close inspection. If a tackle, fumble, pass breakup, or route disruption occurs, the replay should clearly show realistic contact that explains the outcome. Football should feel physical, reactive, and believable at every moment. Many players would gladly trade new celebrations, cosmetics, and presentation features for improvements in collision physics, ball physics, player awareness, route interaction, and realistic contact animations. Years ago college football had the weather stem and connected to the weather.com where the city that had a game the stadium was effected by live weather changes. No need for on and off settings. If it was raining in Florida and you played with the Gators. You had to play that game in the rain until the weather channel showed the rain stopping. Or if you played with penn state on a cold sunny Saturday with a snow storm arriving in a few hours. You had to play in the snow. Teambuilder new features. Good, but not enough
So with CFB27's teambuilder now having the option to build our own stadium, I'm assuming that's also coming over to madden as well. Now again, they didn't mention about anything else of teambuilder other than stadium builder. A bit worried because I know EA knows that we've been asking for teambuilder teams in play now and offline franchise. I think you guys could win over a lot of the community by doing this. How do you expect to win? Every Madden player needs an answer to this question. It doesn't matter how fast we run the 40, how many reps on the bench press, shuttle time, or vertical leap. What matters is how fast you can process football relevant information and how well you can translate what you process into finger movements that duplicate good situational football technique. Unfortunately, Game Planning is a technique that most players skip. What play are we calling on 3rd and 8? What about if we're down by 4? What if the ball is spotted on our 34 yard line? What if the we have 0:32 seconds left? What if the clock is running? What if it's the 4th Qtr? What if we have 1 timeout? What if we're on defense? If we answer each question individually, we might change answers several times. If we don't have an answer for each question, we're not going to have an answer in the game. So let's answer some questions. CLOCK MANAGEMENT - Using Tempo is crucial to sound situational game play. How will we use the 2 Minute Warning? How do we handle timeouts on offense vs defense? How do special teams impact our clock management strategy? When will we speed up vs slow down our opponent's execution? Note: If we're better at managing tempo than our opponent, our chances of winning increase. Got answers? Good. FIELD MANAGEMENT - Using Position is crucial to sound situational game play. How will we attack the field? How will we handle the line of scrimmage? How will we handle the backfield? How will we use the sideline? How will we manage our play calls to setup the next ball spot? What area of the field is exposed? Note: If we're better at managing the field, our chances of winning increase. Still good? Let's keep going... ROSTER MANAGEMENT - Using Personnel is crucial to sound game play. Who is on the field? What is their skill set? How will we use their skill set? How will we create a numbers advantage? Who are the best players? Is anyone fatigued? Note: If we're better at managing our roster, our chances of winning increase. That's all... Each of us needs answers to these questions. If we can answer these questions easily, we're half way there. The question then becomes: Can we execute our plan to get the right players (personnel) to the right places (position) at the right times (tempo)? It's not a yes/no question... It's a fun/misery question - a W/L question. So... Ok Madden you need to do something about people quitting online H2H games just because they losing sometimes it might be just 1 or 2 scores and people quit it's so annoying there should be a penalty against that I know call of duty would penalize you for leaving an online game for losing you would get like a 15 min timeout where you cant join a game then it keep multiplying if you kept doing it Madden needs something like this because it's annoying not being able to finish a game I haven't gone past 1st half in a while. EA_Kent i don't if anyone is gonna read this, but the reason these trophies/achievements are not working is because the Yardage tracker in franchise mode stops tracking yardage after reaching about 1,023 yards, effectively preventing the trophies/achievements from unlocking, can you guys maybe try to fix the yardage tracker before abandoning this game? Dear staff at EA: I am reaching out not just as a voice for myself, but as a voice for all the trophy hunters out here. We are desperately waiting for you to fix these glitched trophies. I have been a Madden supporter for many years. And I've enjoyed going back to college football and I also got back into Battlefield. You guys do make great games, and I've loved supporting your games. But this is getting to the point you are going to lose a chunk of your player base if you do not make these trophies attainable. Your attention to this game...these trophies, will affect not only my decision making on purchasing games in the future, but it will be the same for many others. If you are not willing to fix trophies for this game now, will it be like this in the future for a different game? There are two reasons I play games. 1) fun with my friends and 2) trophies. I see Madden27 is about to be announced and I promise EA and Madden NFL Games that I'm done giving you money. I purchased every Madden every year since the series has been around. I dealt with the bugs and nonsense from the past games but Madden26 has been a smack in the face. I have opened countless tickets and forum posts about these broken trophies. Many others have done the same and not a single peep about it. Yet anytime there is an issue with ultimate team you are quick to fix it because you have to get that micro transaction money, right? As of now there are more than likely about 2 months before the new game is out. If these trophies aren't fixed by then than I'm done I will never purchase another EA or Madden game. As we are days away from the official reveal of madden 27, I still can't believe the chrome bumper/chinstrap bug hasn't been fixed. This has been an issue since day 1 and it pretty obviously isn't going to be fixed at all. This entity messaged me to say I thought I was perfect because I am confident and have skills some that just play Madden don’t have. (2) This entity was not committed to a competition in Audio, recording, and All-Madden Challenge. No UT Teams, No Superstar Mode, no additional nothing straight up Updated Rosters and skills. He declined, but has the nerve to comment on the Game Allowing Users to continue to run the same play, lack Skill, Speed up, Go Slow, CPU jumping you Hot Routes, sub par Teams being Elite, and much more. I also mento this Entity that I am always in Balanced Front, Balanced Secondary, and plays multiple Zones/Man schemes. So, he thinks I am perfect because I won’t play a base defense when my opponents coming out in 3 and 4 wide receivers lol 😆.
