Petition to change Spike Ball from button B to button A on Nintendo Switch 2

MADDEN DEVS, PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS.
Anyone else, please help this get to the right people.

I've already seen others mention this, but when it comes to the Nintendo Switch 2, the Spike Ball function (which automatically makes the offense go into formation to spike the ball after a play) really should match other platforms and be applied to the right button (A) instead of the bottom button (B). I understand the A is traditionally the select button on Nintendo, but in the case of games like Madden, you need to put it in the location that people are used to on all platforms, which is the right button. And since snapping the ball is in the correct position on Nintendo Switch 2 (B) it makes since to not assign the Spike Ball function to it as well, since most people are used to hitting the B button to hurry up the offense to get to the line and things like that. The amount of times that I have simply pressed the B button once and made my offense go into a Spike Ball formation is very frustrating. I would really appreciate it, if anyone from EA could look into this. Thank you!

  • Spike ball should be something like a shoulder. But, yeah I hit the primary or b button to try to speed up animations and spiked the ball 100 times. I am getting a refund. I hate this game.

OMG yes. This came up when searching for this exact reason. Horrible button choice. Literally any other button works

  • THANK YOU. The Switch's controls are already frustrating, making the bottom button both the hike and the spike button is nonsensical.

  • Thought it was just me. The number of times it spikes and then forces me to burn a timeout is bad...

Please fix the button layout or give us the control to switch the spike ball to another button layout. So frustrating not even fun

Make it’s right on D pad it’s literally nothing else dying pre-snap

I **bleep**ing HATE that’s I can’t even change play if I don’t want to snap it im forced to call timeout

  • I'm a first time player, and couldn't even figure out WHY I was spiking the ball automatically until seeing this. I concur, this needs to be a button you're unlikely to hit except intentionally.

I could really go for a tutorial mode as well, but that's a different story

  • Ive been playing madden literally my entire life.  Im a nintendo fan boy and in 2008 I switched to the PS3 because of how terrible the game was on the Wii... well its back now and Im so happy and I picked it up day one and on my first drive alone I Spiked ball 3 times and called all 3 time outs!  Guys! Im an all madden level player thats been playing 30 years. What are we doing? Why is Hike and Spike ball the same button!    Spikeball needs to be A  and Hike/progress through play call menus needs to be B... Also why in the heck is the play sheet Y X and A   and not  Y B A     not as huge of a deal but still seems odd.   What gives?
