Only EA could "update" a game to make it unplayable.

So I downloaded the update, and now I can't even get past the menu. I've had to restart about a dozen times. Sometimes the menu just locks up, sometimes I get a server error message. Right now I'm looking at "my items," except... It's empty. 

After the fiascos that were the recent promos, I had been thinking about giving it up. EA made the decision for me, I guess.
