PSA RE: Platinum Cards
I've seen this happen year after year, and I finally have to say something. This isn't for everybody, but some of you need to brush up on math skills. Remember that when you put your platinum cards up for auction, YOU WILL LOSE 10% TO EA! Make sure you're setting your price correctly or you're just losing coin. For example: 83 OVR P Logan Cooke platinum quicksells for 77,000 coins. As I write this, I see 6 of those cards for sale, ranging from 80,000-83,971. All of those owners are going to lose money!
80,000-10%=72,000. Loss of 5,000 coins
83,971-10%=75,573.9. Loss of 1426.1 coins
If you want to figure out your "breakeven" point, get your calculator out and DIVIDE the QS value by 0.9. Then add whatever you want your profit to be. So:
77,000 ÷ 0.9=85,556 (I rounded up) If you want to make more than what you could QS it for, you have to make your lowest BID at least 85,557. Then figure out how much profit you want and adjust upwards accordingly.
It was driving me nuts!
