Super Bowl CPU Event - Given a Loss when EA Servers lost connection

And it just happened again. Now I've got 2 losses due to EA servers losing connection, and 3 losses means elimination. I've got 5/7 wins. So now I've got to hope I get 2 wins without the server going down again and eliminating me? I ask again, how is that right?
