Madden 27 Franchise

Madden 27 Franchise Needs Real History, Statistics & Continuity

EA/Madden Franchise Team,

I’ve played Franchise Mode for years, and I want to explain what I think is one of the biggest things missing from the mode.

Franchise Mode needs to remember what happened.

I don’t think Madden needs another huge collection of flashy features before it gets the fundamentals of Franchise history and presentation right. I want my franchise to feel like an NFL league that has developed over 10, 15, 20+ seasons—not a bunch of individual seasons stacked on top of each other.

  1. PLAYOFF STATS NEED TO BE TRACKED

This is probably my biggest request.

Please give us complete playoff statistics for every player.

When I click on my quarterback, I should be able to see:

Career Regular Season

  • Passing yards
  • Passing TDs
  • INTs
  • Games
  • Wins
  • Completion percentage
  • Awards

Career Playoffs

  • Playoff games
  • Playoff wins/losses
  • Passing yards
  • Passing TDs
  • INTs
  • Completion percentage
  • Conference Championship appearances
  • Super Bowl appearances
  • Super Bowl wins
  • Super Bowl MVPs

And I should be able to see his playoff statistics by individual season.

For example:

2031 Playoffs

  • Wild Card: 287 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT
  • Divisional: 241 yards, 2 TD
  • Conference Championship: 318 yards, 3 TD
  • Super Bowl: 329 yards, 4 TD

That information becomes part of that player’s legacy.

If my QB plays 15 seasons and wins three Super Bowls, I want to be able to look at his career and actually see the postseason career that made him a legend.

  1. GIVE US A REAL FRANCHISE HISTORY

When I’m in Year 12, I want to be able to look back at Year 2.

I want to see:

  • Previous season records
  • Playoff results
  • Super Bowl winners
  • Super Bowl losers
  • Division champions
  • Conference champions
  • Player awards
  • League leaders
  • Franchise records
  • Major player milestones
  • Individual playoff performances

I want to remember the seasons.

The game should remember them too.

  1. PLAYER PROFILES SHOULD SHOW THEIR LEGACY

When I click on a player, don’t just show me Overall, height, weight and age.

Show me why this player matters.

For example:

Career

  • 58,421 passing yards
  • 412 TD
  • 126 INT
  • 5 Pro Bowls
  • 2 MVPs

Playoffs

  • 21 games
  • 13–8 record
  • 5,847 yards
  • 42 TD
  • 2 Super Bowl wins

Awards

  • 2030 MVP
  • 2032 MVP
  • 2031 Super Bowl MVP

Now that player actually has a career.

  1. PREGAME PRESENTATION SHOULD GIVE US MEANINGFUL INFORMATION

When Madden shows me the starting quarterbacks before a game, I don’t need to know that one is 6’4”, 225 pounds and 27 years old.

Give me information that actually tells me a story.

For example:

QB A

  • 2026: 2,847 yards, 22 TD, 7 INT
  • Last game: 287 yards, 3 TD
  • Career vs. opponent: 3–1
  • Last matchup: 312 yards, 2 TD
  • Career playoff record: 8–5

That’s information that makes me interested in the game I’m about to play.

  1. LET US SCOUT THE OPPONENT

When I’m looking at my weekly matchup, there should be a button to View Opponent.

I should be able to go directly into their roster and see their actual production.

Not just:

QB — 87 OVR
RB — 91 OVR
WR — 94 OVR

Show me:

QB — 2,847 yards, 22 TD, 7 INT
RB — 1,104 yards, 12 TD
WR — 78 receptions, 1,236 yards, 11 TD

If I want Overall ratings, I can click the player.

I’m preparing to play the team. Give me football information, not just ratings.

  1. ACCURATE STATISTICS HAVE TO COME FIRST

This is extremely important.

If Madden is going to build all of this history, the statistics have to be accurate.

I’ve seen situations where the wrong quarterback’s statistics appear under another quarterback, or where player statistics are mixed up.

That completely destroys the immersion.

If you’re going to tell me that my quarterback has thrown 40 touchdowns in his career, I need to trust that number.

The statistics are the foundation of Franchise history.

  1. MAKE THE LEAGUE FEEL LIKE IT HAS A MEMORY

This is ultimately what I’m asking for.

I want to be able to play 10 years of Franchise and have the game remember:

  • Who won the Super Bowl
  • Who lost it
  • Who won MVP
  • Who dominated the playoffs
  • Which quarterbacks became legends
  • Which coaches built dynasties
  • Which teams became rivals
  • Who holds franchise records
  • Who holds league records
  • How many playoff games a player has won
  • How many Super Bowls a player has won
  • How players performed in important games

I don’t need Madden to manufacture a story for me.

The story is already being created by what happens in my franchise.

I just need Madden to remember it and present it to me.

  1. THIS SHOULD APPLY TO COACHES TOO

When I click on my head coach, I should see:

Career

  • Regular-season record
  • Playoff record
  • Division titles
  • Conference championships
  • Super Bowl appearances
  • Super Bowl wins
  • Coach of the Year awards

If I’ve had the same coach for 12 seasons and we’ve won three Super Bowls, I want that history to mean something.

THE BIGGER POINT

I’m not asking for another gimmick.

I’m asking Madden to make Franchise Mode feel like an actual NFL universe.

Give us accurate statistics.

Give us playoff statistics.

Give us career history.

Give us team history.

Give us meaningful pregame information.

Give us opponent scouting.

Give us records and milestones.

And most importantly:

LET THE GAME REMEMBER.

Because when I get to Year 15, I don’t want to feel like I’m playing Season 15.

I want to feel like I’m looking at the history of an NFL franchise that I built.

That’s what would make me want to keep playing Franchise for years.

Please make Franchise Mode remember the story we’re creating.

That's what would make me want to keep playing Franchise for years. Please, please incorporate playoff stats bc honestly you play franchise mode to build your team and your league and your goal is to make the playoffs and to win a championship. After a few short seasons wild card game don’t feel any different from a week 18 game  and the Super Bowl don’t feel any different than the game before. Please find a way to make everything all tie in and come together in your franchise mode we are playing and let the story speak on what’s going on in the league we build. Every year I buy the game hoping for playoff stats bc it’s important meaningful stats when it matters especially when we scout and draft our players and build our teams we want to look back and see who did what when the lights were the brightest.

Please make Franchise Mode remember the story we're creating. Thank you to your team and thank you for taking time to read this
