Crash/Freeze Mid-Game (Superstar Mode)

This is arguably the most frustrating aspect of the game

I get toward the end of a matchup and the game suddenly stops responding.  All on-field game officials congregate in a circle on the field while nothing else happens.  Every time this occurs, I’m forced to close the game and restart, thus erasing my progress and wasting my effort. 

Why are we still experiencing issues like this?  EA has had years to figure out how to produce a polished game without constant errors that practically ruin the entire experience.  

If anyone is aware of a fix, I’d greatly appreciate it.  However, I know better than to assume this is fixable.  My hard drives are far from capacity.  My cache has been reset multiple times.  Even taking a few years off and returning in hopes that EA can provide a better product has proven futile.  

EA, fix yo crap.
