ERROR Team Pass Not Selected
Title: “Team pass not selected” error blocks Online H2H, no free pass option (PS5)

I can’t play Online H2H at all. Every time I try, I get “Error: Team pass not selected” with only Pick Team or Cancel. When I pick a team (Ravens) and hit Select Team, the next screen only offers Upgrade to Premium Pass (1,000 Madden Points) or Cancel. There’s no free pass option, so my team never saves and I end up right back at the error.
Same thing happens when I accept a friend’s H2H invite. My friend gets in fine, so it seems tied to my account.
I’ve never bought a Team Pass, and I have an active PS Plus subscription.
What I’ve already tried:
- Restarting the game
- Full PS5 power cycle (unplugged)
- Rebuilding the PS5 database (at EA support’s request)
- Picking different teams
- Selecting the pass from the main menu and through Ultimate Team
- Checking for updates
- Uninstalled / Reinstalled Game
I’ve opened a support case and worked with 6 or 7 different EA advisors. None of them could fix it.
Can someone from EA escalate this to the Madden team and reset my Team Pass or put me on the free pass? Screenshot attached.
