PS5 — Repeated EA Server Disconnects in BOTH CFB 27 and Madden 27
I am experiencing severe and repeated EA server connectivity problems with BOTH Madden NFL 27 and College Football 27 on PlayStation 5.
Madden NFL 27
- Disconnected/signed out of the EA servers 7 times
- In addition to the server disconnects, the game completely crashed once
College Football 27
- Disconnected/signed out of the EA servers 5 times
That is 12 EA server disconnects across the two games, plus one complete Madden 27 game crash.
Both games initially connect to the EA servers normally, but I am subsequently and repeatedly disconnected/signed out while playing.
My PS5 is using a wired LAN connection. My other internet-connected functions and games are working, and I am not experiencing a general loss of internet connectivity when these EA disconnects occur.
The fact that I am experiencing essentially the same EA server-disconnection problem across two different EA Sports titles on the same day is particularly concerning. EA’s server-status information also shows the games as online despite these repeated disconnects.
Platform: PlayStation 5
Games: Madden NFL 27 and EA Sports College Football 27
Date: September 6, 2026
Madden 27: 7 EA server disconnects/sign-outs + 1 complete game crash
College Football 27: 5 EA server disconnects/sign-outs
Total: 12 EA server disconnects + 1 game crash
Connection: Wired LAN
I have spent approximately $150 for these two games, and at this point the repeated disconnects are making them extremely difficult to play reliably.
Please investigate whether there is an EA authentication, session-management, or server-connectivity problem affecting these games. I would also appreciate acknowledgment if this is a known issue currently affecting other players rather than being repeatedly directed toward basic home-network troubleshooting.
