After winning superbowl, I can't play any more games.

I just finished, winning the superbowl, on franchise mode. I simulated the draft and had no option to play pre-seaon games so I simulated the pre-season (thinking that's just what you must do since I wasn't able to play any pre-season games the first time through). But now I can't play the first game of the second season. The only option is to advance to next week or retire my coach. I simulated the first game, just to see what it would do (lost the game in the simulation of course) and still no option to play in week 2. What am I doing wrong?  Thanks.  PS4, if that helps.

    It's probably a roster issue. Make sure you have all your slots that are mandatory filled.

    How do I get signed onto a team in Franchise? I was on a team for 15 years with a created player but now I only have the advance time and retire options. Help?

    I'm having the same issue in madden 17.....my player is a WR with a 99 overall after 4 seasons and I simmed past the off season because I didn't see any options to re-sign and I am no longer on a team and have simmed 2 seasons trying to get re-signed....how do I get resigned and why does simming past the offseason during a contract year cause your player to be dropped from the team....doesn't that make the sim 10 years option counter productive......
