Hello Madden Gamers,
First of all welcome to Madden 19! I’m sure you’re ready to get started on your Ultimate team as soon as possible so that you can raise that overall and become #1 in the world! My first tip would be don’t start too fast. When you check the objectives list in the upper left hand corner of the left-most tab you’ll see there are objectives for winning certain amounts of games at overalls less than, equal to, or greater than specific levels. (ex. Winning games less than 70 overall) You’ll also find a daily objective list that asks you to win 1 game for coins, then win a second game for more coins, complete any set, and buy any pack to earn a quicksell that can be worth 1,000 up to 100,000 until reach level 30 where it jumps to 150,000 coins. I recommend buying the get a player pack for 500 coins as it ensures that you’ll always make profit no matter how big or small the quicksell you end up earning is, and I reccomend doing a set like the silver player exchange to keep your risk of losing coins low. These objectives will earn you coins on top of the coins you’ll get for winning solo games.
Speaking of solos that leads me into my next tip, PLAY YOUR SOLOS. I recommend starting with the campaign solos. There are 83 solos that will earn you silver player packs, gold player packs, and elite player packs. These packs are even broken down by position (ex. Silver HB fantasy pack) and so you can use these to slowly transform those starting bronze players position by position into better and better players as you go through. As you go through you’ll also periodically earn tokens (8 in all) which you can use in the campaign sets where you can earn one 87 overall player and one 87 overall defensive player. I recommend waiting to use them until the end after you open all the packs you get from the solos so you can make the best choice based on need. Secondly I recommend the rookie gauntlet As these will also give you two 87 overall rookie players in the end with tokens, player packs, and coins! After completing those two I would then move on to the Diamond solos as they give you some amazing packs. You get gold fantasy packs and an elite fantasy pack from the team of your choice. These packs give you players from the team diamond sets (found in the sets tab underneath where you can look at your team) and in these packs you can find some great value. I recommend using your gold player packs on teams that have more elites than gold players or at least a high volume of elite players to give yourself the best chance at pulling an elite in the gold player packs. On the other hand I recommend using your elite packs on teams with a low volume of elite players to give yourself a chance to pull a high overall elite. These players aren’t NAT so if you pull a high overall elite you don’t need, then you can sell him on the auction house to earn coins that you can use to address any weak spots in your lineup.
Finally, my last tip for you is Solo Battles. I highly recommend these as you can earn some EXTREMELY good rewards for playing against the CPU. I recommend these after finishing your solos because you’ll want a higher overall as these challenges can be difficult. In this mode you earn battle points based off of how badly you beat the CPU opponents, and making user interceptions/fumbles. The amount of battle points you earn are put up against every madden player in the world on your console so you’ll want to perform at your best. The top 100 get the best rewards, and the closer you get to the top the better the rewards are. You may not place the top 100 your first time but that’s okay, don’t beat yourself up. Outside of the top 100 there are other rankings that have no maximum player count. For example it starts at bronze, and moves up to ultimate which is the ranking just outside the top 100. This is a great way to earn 100s of thousands of coins and even over a million of you can make it to the top of the mountain. The higher you place the better the rewards obviously which include a quick sell that can range from a few thousand at the lowest tiers, all the way up to 250,000 at the top spot. On top of a quicksell you’ll earn packs that can give you silver and gold players, and as you go up the rankings you can earn redzone and touchdown packs which are the best packs you can be rewarded in solo battles. With the redzone packs you can either choose to quicksell the whole pack for 25k or you can choose to open the pack and roll the dice at getting more than 25k in value. The touchdown packs work the same way but instead of getting a full pack of players you can choose to quicksell it for 75k or open the pack and get the opportunity to choose between 3 elite players. Solo Battles is a great way to build up your team after finishing solos and a great way to work on your game before tackling Weekend league and H2H seasons games.
That’s all for my MUT tips, I hope you find them helpful, now get out there and dominate!
