Can’t use Switch Stick on PS5

Hi. I’m really new to Madden. I went into practice mode and tried using the Switch Stick. I tried both flicking the Right Stick in multiple directions and also tried the D Pad. Nothing is working. The only way I can switch players is with the O button. Please Help !
