Can't play couch co op franchise

That's definitely a strange issue. Have you been able to test this with a different controller to see if the same thing still happens?

This happens to me too. It happened when I had chose ‘owner’ as the franchise “person” (not coach or player). The second player controller wouldn’t go co-op or vs. in controller select. We were able to get around that but then the “couch co-op reverts to rookie difficulty bug” got us. I’m very frustrated as a longtime fan of this franchise. My brother and I have been purchasing the product, every year, for decades - how could you get this wrong now? Focus on these types of things and less on stupid menu graphics that’s just slow everything down.

I am having the same issue still. Please EA help me play with my son together at home on my franchise. 

Why can’t I play 2 player on the same team in franchise mode in Madden 21? This is a must have feature for me and why I buy this game.  

I have the same issue. I literally ONLY bought this game to play co-op with my roommate and we can’t even get on the same team.

Summarize your bug Cannot do couch co-op on franchise mode. When P2 goes right they cannot join my team. We only bought this game for this option. Very upset.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Great offline or cloud season and try to put 2 players on the same team

I have the same issue as well. I was very disappointed I can’t play franchise with my son. This has been a feature available for the last 20 years. Huge mistake in the game but hat needs to be fixed ASAP

Just to confirm, you're playing an offline franchise and you've assigned your son to the other team under your Franchise setting, right?

Once you move one team over, try turning off that primary controller and then turn on his controller to see if he can move the team over. Can you let me know if that helps as a workaround fix?

Yes we are playing off line franchise mode. Could you explain more about assigning my son to the other team in Franchise settings? I have looked in the settings and do not see any options for assigning a 2nd player. He is able to be the team I am playing. It just won’t let him move onto my team. I did try what you suggested with turning the controller off but had no success. All it did was move the primary controller into centre of game screen so it’s on neither team and I still can’t move the 2nd controller over to the franchise team. Thank you for the suggestion though and I will try anything else you could suggest to get around this defect.

Under the management screen you can determine what teams you want to take human control of. I'm assuming you've assigned yourself more than 1 human team?
