Play a friend problem......... I locked in my lineup last night and since then i made several upgrades but when i try to reset my team to play my friends with the better team i cant i can only use the lineup i locked in last night is there a fix to this or am i stuck with this smelly team?

So me and my boi found a fix, just use the competitive PAF option and that lets you reset or retire the event every game 😀 Marking as solution for visibility of potential workaround.

@stewster67 Same issue, when you play in competitive mode you can reset your team

Having the same issue as well as a friend of mine. Both of us are on the Xbox One version of the game and can't adjust what we have already locked in

@pist0lwhip510 Are you saying this is a work around? I'm not understanding the "play in competitive mode" How do I get to competitive mode?

If you complete the set of 5 games you will be able to lock down a current lineup.
So, once you lock your team, you're locked for 5 games.

I can’t upgrade my 70 ovr team from the first week to my 85 ovr team currently. The “Retire Event” option isn’t available. Please madden fix this
