Will coach mode be improved? I haven't purchased Madden since 19 because I miss the ability to play as a coach. I don't mean Coach Mode in CFM. I mean calling plays and watching your players execute on the field. For years we've had to do our own kicks, select defensive lineman and watch our QB stand in pocket and never scramble. It's frustrating.It seems like an easy thing to implement, but we haven't had a true hands-off coach play mode in years. With this being the Madden tribute year, it's the perfect time to let players truly play the game as a coach

I would pay EA money to have this. MLB The Show has it. But there are so many issues with the "Coach Mode" in Madden that calling it "Coach Mode" is misleading, it should be called something like "Pass Assist".Problems with Coach Mode today:- QB will not scramble at all- RPOs do not work at all- Kicks and Punts require manual meter entry- You're required to control a defensive player, which even if you hold L1 for defensive assist, means they will be forced into man coverage as a back, and will not execute any rush moves as a linemanThis is the single highest priority feature I've wanted in Madden since I started playing again 3 years ago. I would love for an EA dev to comment on this and give an idea of how likely we are to see this implemented. It's still day 2 of early access, I'd love to see it this year as a patch.

Madden 08 and older had actual coach mode. Where you call the plays, and that's it. The current coach mode leaves you having to do kicking, and sometimes accidentally taking over the QB or some player on D.Please give us a "call the plays only" mode.

Madden 08 and older had actual coach mode. Where you call the plays, and that's it. The current coach mode leaves you having to do kicking, and sometimes accidentally taking over the QB or some player on D.

Please give us a "call the plays only" mode.

Could one of the 10hr players answer this?

Have you found a way to configure coach mode to just call plays? Or was this fixed in 2023?

I want strategic play like Madden 09 and older have, and I've been trying to find out if this is a possibility in 23. I'd prefer to play on PC, but don't care much which platform it is so long as I can play without arcade "user control" of any players including the kicker.

I pretty much only play coach mode. YES! Coach mode is in the game. It's in the settings. Go to settings, gameplay options and towards the bottom is Coach Mode. move to ON. Enjoy.

Is there a way to not have arcade kicking? Makes no sense in a coach-mode game.

I agree. No. You are basically the kicker or you can sim the kicks.
