Controller freeze during play selection

Summarize your bug On both XBOX 1 X and Xbox Series X, my controller will suddenly stop controlling anything on screen. I am able to get the Xbox side load to show up and navigate that. This usually happens right after a play, it has happened whether on offense or defense. There is no response at all. Unable to scroll plays, call timeout, substitute, etc. sometimes it goes back to working normally after the delay of game penalty. It happens whether I’m using a wireless controller or have it hardwired. Only use Microsoft controllers and cables, has happened with the Xbox one x controllers and the new series x controller. Only happens in madden and during ranked H2H games. Also, in both cases the Xbox was direct plugged into the modem using cat 8 cables. No other network devices that could interfere. Controllers are using latest firmware and in the case of the Xbox series x controllers they are all 3 less than 3 weeks use. One that was included with the system, bought second controller a week ago and third controller this week. Any ideas on how to fix and what’s causing it?

What happens when the bug occurs? One or both players unable to select play causing delay of game penalty. Occasionally it will only happen once but the last time it happened, I got the delay. Was able to select a play and then the error happened again. Only this time it never corrected and caused me to be kicked out of the game for grieving. I was up 18-7 at that time.
What do you expect to see? I would hope that issues like these would have been fixed during the beta tests
