controller icon is stuck in the middle when trying to select my team

While logging into mut, game doesn’t let me play any solo challenges, I can still do Head to Head games and use the Auction house. When I go into franchise mode (online) it doesn’t let me select my team to play. (Keeps controller in middle instead of selecting team) already tried restarting game, uninstalling and reinstalling game, and switched accounts. No success. Please help! 

@WideProace there is a similar report about this "controller stuck in the middle" in the bug reports section, see here. The player reported the issue in the Face of the Franchise mode, but I'd imagine it might be the same since both of you face it in Solo modes.

Summarize your bug This issue has happened multiple times, it has been happening since the game released and so long as I have been playing, as I select the game to play, when going to the team select screen where it should have the controller come to my team so I can advance, the controller option is stuck in between both teams, and cannot move to either the left or right. I cannot advance, unless I go back and simulate the game to advance, no way I'm going to do that, I want to play. So I restart and it still does not work, I wait a day and it fixes but then it happens a few games in. This happens way too often and is clearly a bad glitch. Please help!

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try playing FOTF and start a game. The controller occasionally will get stuck in the middle and not allow you to select a team.
What happens when the bug occurs? Cannot select sides, therefore cannot play the game.
What do you expect to see? I expect the controller icon to go on my side so I can continue and play the game.

i can’t play any games in online franchise or receive any franchise invites. Whenever I try to play a game in an online franchise my controller is placed in the middle of the two teams and it says “controller select” at the top right. It obviously should just put me on my team but I can’t move the controller or hit accept I can only back out of the menu. 

I am having the same issue. Whenever I try to play online Franchise or any games in Face of the Franchise the game will get stuck at the controller select screen with the controller in the middle. So all I can do is go back to the menu. In Superstar KO and The Yard those modes won't even load at all just get stuck at the loading screen. Then in MUT the solo challenges won't give me rewards for completing solos or I will get an error about how the previous game is under review and to try again in 1 minute. Which I do, and it still doesn't give me credit for completing the solos. Basically the only modes in the game that are working for me are offline Franchise and Play Now. Very disappointed in this game so far as 80% I can't even play if I wanted to. I am playing on Xbox One and Xbox Series S.

Unable to get a full madden experience do to game bugs proud pro-owner of madden just wish the bugs could be fixed 

When in a cloud franchise I can not play a game goes to game start screen and controller sits in middle and can’t do anything. In a non cloud franchise I can play a game. This is weird and I need help
