Controller problems on the main menu (PC)
So, this is a pretty specific issue that I imagine isn't easy to explain, but I'll try my best because I'm out of ideas. I played the game for around 10 hours, having no problems, but now all of a sudden I've hit a big issue. Using my (wired) Switch Pro Controller to boot up Madden through Steam (big picture mode), I get this problem where the opening "Press Any Button" screen will go instantly into loading, as if I had hit a button. Then, at the main menu, my controller inputs will do nothing. I can hear a clicking noise, as if buttons are constantly being pushed to move around in the menu, though nothing actually happens (and, of course, I'm not hitting anything myself). What really puzzles me is that I can tell that the game at least somewhat can recognize my controller. By using the keyboard/mouse to go to settings > change active controller, I can use my controller to set it as the active one. I can then back out into the main menu, only for it to stop working again. One last thing, I'm not sure if this is relevant but I might as well say it - The aforementioned clicking only seems to happen on the main menu. When I use the keyboard to navigate to a mode (say, Ultimate Team), the clicking stops, though my controller still fails to work.
Again, I know this is a pretty complicated thing, but I'm at a wall. I've tried unplugging everything but the controller, restarting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling the game itself... just about every potential solution I could think of or that I found online. Any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you.
Hi, @Serenityyy8
Do you happen to have an official Microsoft Xbox controller you can test to see if it's still doing the same thing? That is the only officially supported controller for Madden NFL 21. It's possible other controllers will work, but we can't guarantee there won't be any random issues with buttons/inputs with other models.
