Deep zones vs deep posts

So i just downloaded the game a month ago, is there a way to get your deep zone players to cover their guys deep? i keep getting beat on plays like PA crossers because my backside corner let’s a guy scream past him. is this a known bug and what’s the progress on them fixing it? i feel like this was a thing in past maddens too am i wrong?
