EA App saying that I don't have Access to Madden 23

I bought Madden 23 through Steam on 11/22/2022 and have been able to play it fine until now. Now when I try to launch the game, I get an error in the EA app stating that I don't have access to the game. Specifically, it says: "This title may have been downloaded to your device by another user who owns the game. Log in to a different account or restart the app to try again." I have tried to uninstall the EA App, but it still is giving the same error. I don't understand why it is saying that the game was downloaded by another user when I bought it myself and downloaded it through steam. (I'm not getting this error for any other games that I have on the EA App.)

  • @Costeal1275 Yes… I simply uninstalled and reinstalled the game and the problem went away. Not really sure what was causing it, but I know that the trial is only 10 hours so maybe the app thought I had that.

    I did the same thing, uninstalled, then reinstalled and got to play it for a few days. Now I have the same problem again. Is there any solution to this?

    I wanted to check in and confirm if anyone is still seeing issues accessing Madden 23? If so, please let us know the following:

    Platform(Include which Generation):
    PSN ID or Xbox GT:
    Type of Network being used:
    Date/time issue occurred:
    Are you getting an error message (if so what is it)?
    What are you trying to do when running into an error/ getting stuck?
    What was the last action you completed before it happened?
    How often does the bug occur?
    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves?
    Also, include any troubleshooting, Screenshots/Clips you might have:

  • Yea i haven’t found any solution to it and nothing on the internet to help me out. I’ve had to unistall it 2 times now just for the same problem to come back again in 2 or 3 days. it’s honestly getting annoying now EA SUCH A TRASH COMPANY FIX YOUR BRAP DUDE! 

  • any fix for this? just bought the game after playinthe trial last week. now cant play.

  • After having my online franchise wiped and lost forever by the EA app after all of my league owners had finally reached the playoffs back in January, now I'm too locked out of playing 2023 on this new "app"...

    So like the OP I get the same error message saying the game isnt available and someone else logged into it. Each time this happens I lose all my data if I reinstall the game on my custom roster file that I am recreating (since EA erased my last one along with my online franchise that took me near 100 hours to create.)

    How can EA charge us a monthly sub if they are wiping our data and blocking us from games we have purchased? How can any reputable company release an APP that is so flawed?

    I've had an online franchise going since 2002 non stop and have a league full of owners wondering why we are having so many problems. It makes hosting online leagues extremely difficult and chases off perspective coaches to our leagues. It's never been so hard to keep an online franchise afloat.

    PLEASE GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER EA! No wonder the NFL is thinking about moving on from you.
