EA servers unavailable at this time. Try again later - Madden 21

OK, tried all I can think of. "EA servers unavailable at this time. Try again later" (3 months now)

Delete and reinstall game. Fix Licenses. Unlink PS4 Accounts. Hardwire vs. WIFI. Hard Boot PS4. All software updates. Unplug from socket and PS4.

On a PS4 platform. Not going to delete Rosters and Draft Classes...they will never come back!

Why can't I connect to EA server????

Can connect to PlayStation Network fine, But not EA servers!!!

  • Hi, @phitenff

Can you try visiting Help.EA.com and make sure you're signed out. Then sign in using the PlayStation Network icon. This feels account related and I've seen this repair connectivity problems when the PSN network is used to sign into the EA servers.

Let me know if that worked or not, sorry about the trouble you're having the last 3 months. Servers have definitely been up so we'll need to figure out what is the outlier here.

  • @phitenffAt what stage do you get this error? When starting the game? A specific mode? etc.

My first guess: Did you already try to do a power cycle? I've read that power cycling your device might solve issues regarding the connection to EA servers. how to do it (taken from a post by EA_Aljo): >>> unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. <<<

    Hope that helps. Good luck!

OK, yeah.....I had been restarting modem and PS4....

I followed your steps: Unplug all and then bring Modem/Router fully back up....then PS4.

    Still exact same issue.

    Thank you.

So, Yeah....I tried a whole bunch of things at once: checked the linked accounts, did the hard restart, reset my router and wifi, deleted and re-installed the game....etc.....not sure which one did the actual fix...but I'm good now!!!

Thank you for taking the time to follow up and offer a course of action. Much appreciated.
