[Gameplay] QB inaccurate ("under pressure") although no defender is close to him

Could there be a quick fix for the under pressure passing mechanic. I just don’t understand how I can be under pressure, and throw a bad ball as result, because a DL, or other defender is no where close to my QB. The DL is still engaged with my OL and I’m under pressure 5/6 yards away. I don’t get how that would cause me to throw the ball 15 yards away from my WR, if anything I would jus get rid of the ball faster. I’m mainly speaking for starting QBs , with high overalls and passing rating. It’s pointless to have abilities when they don’t work how they are described. Like dashing dead eye, which states perfect accuracy on the run up to 40 yards, but u over throw 10 yard passes while on the run. Gusty scrambler, says immune to defensive pressure while on the run, but still over throws the ball because of the under pressure mechanic. I just don’t understand how pressure is coming when, no defensive player is near my QB, or 5/6 yards away and the QB throwing motion already started. By time the defense gets to the QB the ball is already in the air, but that don’t matter because you already got a under pressure and bad throw as a result.

  • @acovspadez Reading your post, I'm wondering whether you face similar patterns like me (most likely less severe than in my case)? After doing a lot of investigations I know that my connection to EA's servers is really bad. Therefore, I face a lot of issues where my players (both usered or not) do not behave as they should. I've wrote about my observations here (but please be aware that this is one of my ranting threads! 😉 ).

For instance, Sacks, Throw out of Sacks, Throw Away: When my QB starts the throw, the defender is often far away. In any Solo mode I would not even bother that the throw might be assessed as "under pressure", but in H2H games the QB is either sacked or throws out of sack. On the other hand, when my defender already jumps into the QB, the QB can easily throw the ball away. This is again the same pattern as described above for tackling: the defender just jumps into the QB first and therefore the "animation" is not identified as sack. Therefore the QB is not affected in his throwing animation.

I'd therefore would like to ask you whether you face this pattern in H2H modes or Solo modes? or both? if you face this issue mainly in H2H, maybe your issue is based on a wrong assessment of distances (due to lags/latency) between your players (i.e. your QB) and your opponents?

@Neo_Novalis It happens in H2H and in practice mode. It doesn’t matter if I’m online or offline. I’m also plugged directly in with an Ethernet cord. I don’t got Verizon, but I do got the best Xfinity package they got and I barely lag. When it happens in H2H, it’s in clutch moments. The defender is nowhere near my QB, and my QB will over throw a short, medium, or long pass. The abilities that on the QB should allow him to make easy completions on the run, let alone from the pocket. In some case the DL literally is still engaged with a OL and still get under pressure.. doesn’t make sense to me.. I don’t see how elite QB miss wide open targets..
