Hi i am logged in to my account however it wont allow to play madden 23

Hi I am logged in to my account however it wont allow me to play madden 23 but I'm able to play my other games online

    I see that you are encountering difficulties connecting online in Madden NFL 23. I'd be happy to look into this for you and figure out what might be causing the issue. Could you please provide the following details to assist with our investigation?

Possible workaround – I saw another thread where someone having a similar issue was told by EA support to try turning off account verification on their EA account as a workaround.  I tried it, and it seems to have solved the problem for now.  Give it a shot if you’re still having issues connecting to the EA servers.

We appreciate the info you've shared with us on this so far. There were a few more things we were hoping to confirm with you: 

  • Before this started happening, do you remember seeing any emails from EA about login verification? 
  • Have you noticed this same issue with any other EA games? 
  • Has anyone tried reactivating your login verification to see if you're able to still log into Madden NFL 23? 
    • If so, what happened? Were you able to log in, or did you start running into the same issue as before? 

Please let us know when you've got the chance. Also, if you were able to log into the game after disabling your login verification, can you just drop a reply in this thread and let us know it worked for you?

    I was able to log into Madden 2023 on XBox by disabling the login verification. I just did it about an hour ago.

    I never noticed any emails from EA before I started having issues. No other versions of Madden or EA games had issues. I could play the Madden 2024 demo and my copy of 2022 with no problems. Only Madden 2023 was impacted.

    I haven't tried reactivating login verification yet.

    NO EMAILS FROM EA WERE RECEIVED

    NO ISSUES WITH ANY OTHER GAMES

    • Has anyone tried reactivating your login verification to see if you're able to still log into Madden NFL 23? 
      • If so, what happened? Were you able to log in, or did you start running into the same issue as before? 

    I FOLLOWED THE STEPS AND DISABLED LOGIN VERIFICATION - GAME WORKED FINE. I THEN ENABLED LOGIN VERIFICATION AND RESTARTED MY GAME - SAME ERROR MESSAGE AS BEFORE "In order to access the online features for this title your account on PSN must be signed in and you must be signed in to the EA servers" (I am signed into PSN). Seems like the only way to play is to disable login verification.

    I did not receive any emails from EA about login verification issues.  I found the suggestion to try turning off account verification in a post on this board under the topic "Unable to Connect to EA Servers - XBOX X" by user caleballen58.  Original post was on Fri 7/5/24, and he posted on Sat 7/6/24 that someone from EA support told him they are working on an issue with some accounts not validating correctly with new verification protocol and to try turning off account verification as a workaround.

    I have not noticed the issue in any other EA games.  Madden 21 was still working fine for me with account verification turned on after I started having issues with Madden 23.

    I disabled account verification and was able to log into Madden 23 with it turned off.  I have not tried reactivating account verification and logging into Madden 23 yet.  I will try when I have a chance.
