I realize that I am not going to make any friends by saying this, and I am in the extreme minority (maybe completely alone), but I actually like that the trade progress bar is gone.
Hear me out...
In my CFM Cloud league we have 7 players and we just started our 4th season. It is currently preseason week 4 and literally every single 1st rounder for the upcoming draft is acquired by a user player. One player has 10 (I have 5) 1st round picks! The trade system was SO easy before and very very easy to exploit.
Now I will be the first to say it, the problem is not the trade progress bar, but the trade logic itself. That is what ultimately needs to be fixed, but let's be honest; does anyone honestly expect an update that works well for the trade logic? In the meantime trading has become much more tedious and cumbersome. Players in my league have started actually cutting players from their teams instead of ALWAYS being able to find a trade for them. The trades are still there for those willing to take the time, it's just more tedious to do so. For convenience, members of my league have stopped exploiting the poor trade logic. This overall is a good thing for my league.
Aim high on what you want for a trade and work your way backwards when they decline, just like you have done with the trade progress bar. The trades will still happen. You just don't know how far you are from the deal until it happens.
Yes it is annoying, yes it does take more time, but for my league this is a good thing. Ideally, fixing an exploitable trade system would be the better solution, but I'll take what we can get to improve my CFM.
I expect trollish nerd rage over this post. It's ok. EA please PM me if you are interested in suggestions to improve the trade system.
