Thanks again for the info you've shared with us on this.
We're working on getting a fix out for this as soon as we can. In the meantime, there are a couple things you can try that might help:
If you're able to get into the game menu and access your settings, try disabling VSYNC. This seems to be related to adjusting the FPS cap while VSYNC is enabled. Keeping VSYNC disabled might help prevent the issue for the time being.
If you aren't able to get to the settings menu, deleting your usersettings.dat file for Madden NFL 23 may also help. Keep in mind this may reset your game settings back to the default options.
We appreciate everyone's patience while we're working on getting this fixed!
Hey Kent, yall gonna fix this issue any time soon? Its been 5 days since the patch and makes the game almost unplayable entirely. Its really sad to see this taking this long to even send out a hotfix. I refuse to play the game right now with a 30fps lock. Any ETA on a fix?.. What you posted is not a "Fix" its a work around to get it to work at a locked 30fps. @EA_Kent

The fix for this should have gone out earlier today. When you've got the chance please check and see if you're still running into any DirectX errors.

I'm late to the party but have this same issue. I've tried driver updates/reverts and nothing has worked. Contacted EA, and they were useless. Has anyone gotten this to work?
- 3 years ago@EA_Kent You've repeatedly stated this update has gone out yet it hasn't seemed to fix the problem. WTF? Either fix it or stop lying to everyone.

So, it's been almost 4 weeks and still no fix. I had opened a case, and they closed it with recommendations to fix my 'connectivity issues'. Yeah, not even remotely close to the issue presented (with images of the error code). I re-opened the case and it's been 5 days without a resolution, a response, nothing. This really is a joke and quite honestly feel that EA is keeping our money and NOT actually providing a game for us to play. I know, really nice of a multi-million dollar organization. EA should be embarrassed by this but are just another money grab company that doesn't provide any customer support. I'll go buy a used CD from someone because I'd rather they get the money than these clowns. I'll keep posting back on here just to update you all but I think we all know they won't fix this, will keep our money, and continue on as if it doesn't exist. I'm not a social media person, so hope some of you who are affected by this will try and let the rest of the world know about this fraud of a company!
