Madden 15 - PS4: Custom Roster not imported to CFM

I have downloaded the most up to date roster from EA on Madden 15 for PS4. After saving and loading the roster I proceed to start a new CF, however despite selecting to import a Custom roster the CFM starts witht he default rosters that come with the game.

I have tried deleting the roster and the CFM as well as downloading a different roster from the community files and none seem to be imported when creating a new Connected Franchise.

Is there any known workaround or a fix for this issue?
