Madden 2015 created players

You can create a customer player and play with them in a franchise game as long as it is Offline mode (just you against the AI) because the online modes only use active or updated Madden Rosters.

You have to set up the player before you start a franchise and save him to that custom roster.  Then load that custom roster into the new franchise.  I've done it with a fullback with slightly better than average stats (but still good for a fullback and of course named after me).

My question that the boards are never answering is what the heck happened to GameFace on the PS4's version.  I didn't see that anywhere in the creation zone and when it is asked on here its just brushed aside with a link to doing it for FIFA, older Madden's, and UFC - don't see anything on Madden 15?!?

I've been messing around in the creation zone for 2 hours now trying to create a player, saving him and actually being able to find him! I'm beyond frustrated!

I created a 99 OVR Defensive end for the 49ers named Ivan Drago to see if I could make this work. Seems to work just fine.  After creating him I saved the roster as "trial" then without loading any other roster I went straight to "Play Now".  Just before kickoff I paused it to see if he was on my team, and even though he wasn't in my starting lineup, he was on my roster, and I was able to sub him in without an issue.  If you don't load another roster, and are only playing offline, this should work for you.

You can then go into "Manage Rosters" under the customize tab and move your new player into the starting lineup on whatever team you assigned him to.  Seemed to work flawless for me.

After downloading a roster or saving an offline roster follow the following sequence, works for me every time I try it.

Go into the "Manage Files" option in the "Customize" tab.

Select "Load and Delete Files",

Tab over to "Roster" and select the one you downloaded.

Go create your player

When finished creating the player, select the roster that you want him to be on (the one you downloaded)

Select "Yes" to overwrite the roster

The new roster should be loaded already with your player on the team you put him on, but you'll need to go into the Manage Rosters tab in order to make him a starter.

Select "order depth chart" and place him in the starting position you want him in. Back out and select "Manage Files". Select "Save", Tab over to Roster and save it either as a new roster, or over the top of the roster that you downloaded before.

Tab over to the "Play" tab and select "Play Now"

Pick the team that you put the created player on as the team you will be controlling.

Start the game and your created player should be in the position you wanted him on the team you wanted with the custom roster that you downloaded. I just did all of these steps in order and typed this post as I did each step so there shouldn't be anything missing.

I have followed these instructions verbatim more times than I care to remember at this point.

I originally bought a copy off of Amazon, and had the exact same issue as others in this thread. I would created a player, save him, and he would just vanish. I finally thought the hell with it, and decided to try an offline franchise as a player. No sooner than I select the team I want to play for, I get error code CE-34878-0, and the game crashes.

Thinking I've gotten a bad copy of the game, I request a refund from the seller, and he offers to send me another copy. I received it today, and lo and behold, I'm having the exact same issue.

I can't save a created player to a downloaded roster, and the game crashes if I try to do an offline player franchise.

I can save a created player to the original roster, but this defeats the purpose of why I wanted to buy the game in the 1st place, and that is to play with the most recent rookies.

Is it possible I've gotten 2 bootleg copies, or am I just doing something wrong? I've made sure the game is up to date, and downloaded each update it has available. I've also made sure to check that my PS4 was up to date, and it is. I've even rebuilt the database on my PS4 thinking that might have something to do with it, and the game still doesn't work like I expect it to.

What do I do? I'm beyond aggravated with this game. This is the 1st Madden I've purchased since 2011, and considering the issue I'm having with Madden 15, it will likely be my last unless I can figure out what is wrong and how to fix it.
