Madden 21 Franchise stuck loading

Summarize your bug Players in my Franchise finished their Week 17 games and advanced the week. They were kicked from the simulating screen. When they reloaded, the week had advanced to the Playoffs Wildcard week, however the only buttons present under "Things to Do" were "Weekly Rewards" and "Improve Team". There were no buttons present to play their games nor advance the week. Our solution was to put everyone on Auto Pilot for a week and have it advance that way. The Franchise is now frozen simulating the "2025 Wild Card Playoff Week." Closing and reopening Madden does not remove this error, anyone who tries to access the Franchise is sent straight to the Simulating screen. There are no pending updates, restarting Madden does not fix the issues. It seems like there was an error that occurred during the week 17 transition that was exacerbated when advancing the Wildcard week.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Encounter an error while transitioning between weeks (Might be specific to week 17 or year 2025). Voila, you get a partially advanced week. To get the infinitely simming, force the league to advance in a broken state. We did this by setting all players to auto pilot.
What happens when the bug occurs? The screen stays on the simulation screen and does not progress
What do you expect to see? The simulation screen eventually goes away and players are able to play games/ready up

The only additional information I can offer is I attempted to retire and switch to a different team during this process. When I got to the new team, I had the weekly rewards and "Improve you team" buttons, but they were locked and I was unable to click on them.

    New Additional Information:

    On a whim I tried to import to the Series X version of Madden. (The franchise is on the Xbox One version as we have users on both generations of consoles). On the Series X version I was able to get the Franchise to load. It was back at week 17 prior to when it was advanced, but after the games were played. I have not tried to advance it from this week on the Series X.

    We still need help with the original issue, As several of our players do not have the Series X, but I thought this might be helpful info.

    UPDATE:

    The Franchise is still spinning. Any player who attempts to access the Franchise gets the Simulation screen. It has made no progress since this post was made initially.

    Accessing it through the Madden 21 Companion app also yields the Simulation notice.

    @ATypicalMonday ☹️ that sounds really frustrating. I was wondering whether there is an option to repair the franchise file(s)? I'm not really firm regarding the franchise mode, but maybe searching for a "repair" function might be fruitful?

    another guess (not exactly sure whether or how that works but I think I've recently read that suggestion from EA_Blueberry in another thread): if I remember correctly, he mentioned that the franchise (or league?) commissioner (maybe the wording is not correct) is able to restore the league as it was in previous weeks. there should be an option where the commissioner can decide at which stage the players will continue (e.g. if you just have completed week 17 it should be possible to go back to week 16 allowing you to redo the final week). maybe that might prevent the bug you are facing now?

    Very interesting! I hadn't heard of anything quite like you mentioned, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist! I'll look and see if there is anything like that for Xbox!

    Thank you for putting your thoughts in here, it has been a frustrating experience only worsened by the silence of the replies here.

    @ATypicalMonday you are welcome! 🙂 I really hope that helps, but frankly my suggestions are shots in the dark (at least I wanted trying to help). I hope I have not caused that completely worthless suggestions now give you only extra frustration.

    regarding the silence in this forum the last couple of days: it is a bit weird that I did not see your post before. I was online the last days but did not see it in the list while I also did not see 2 of my own responses in other threads the next day either (when one of the community managers had answered the question too later on). not sure whether there is a technical forum issue at the moment (I hope not). but at least I can say that some of the community managers have some well deserved days off. that's maybe the reason why you did not get an answer yet (while it is very unfortunate when you have a bug just when you have time to play, but support is understaffed... ☹️ )

    I couldn't find a repair function or tool for Xbox. Closest I could find was save points for offline franchises, which led me down the path of "Maybe I can make it an offline Franchise, revert the week, and make it online again". Seems like that isn't possible though.

    Don't worry! Even if it doesn't help, the act of trying something is better than just waiting. You had a good suggestion too! That is the exact kind of thing I'd build into a commissioner roll!

    Yeah, visibility is also probably rough as I just made my account for this after Live Chat said I should. I'm trying to put updates in to attempt to maintain visibility. I was starting to lose hope that it was going to be seen, then you replied!

    Update:

    We attempted to move on the Series X Version of our Franchise and it broke. We are now in the Wildcard Week and no buttons appear for any players with the Series X Version. No way to play the game or advance the week. The same point we were at before we Auto Pilot simmed the last Franchise.
