Madden 22 PS5/XB1 franchise freezing and not saving when Developing Player

    Advance the week without playing the game. 

    Click on the chemistry storyline and it will freeze.  Close your app and restart it. 

    After that it will go through the story line cut scenes and after that finishes go to upgrade a player, if you have that option.  If not, go to edit someone on your roster and the game should freeze again.  

    Restart your game again and the game should be good to go.  

    This just worked for me.

It’s beyond frustrating that there’s still no fix for this. I moved on and started playing franchise in M21 next gen version. If this was a MUT issue I guarantee this would’ve been fixed in one week tops. 

I’ve already spoken with my wallet and refused to buy both NHL 22 and FIFA 22 even though I had planned to during Black Friday sales.  I’ll stick to my XGP/EA Play subscription to play EA sports titles.

Idk why I just now thought of this but a workaround that may and should work to avoid the freezing when prompted to a Superstar X Factor scenario is to simply bypass the scenario by manually changing the player in to a X Factor. I will try this but unfortunately I rage deleted my franchise so I gotta start from scratch. I’ll report back here for updates.

    Ran across the exact same problem as everyone else today. Went into absolute panic lol. Same chemistry scenario, with a WR trying to go from Superstar to X Factor. So no fix from EA yet...

    My solution was to ignore everything and Sim to the next week. The Sim failed the scenario challenge (not sure if that matters). I then immediately went to the WRs character page, and manually adjusted his status up to X Factor. 

    After that I went to Upgrade Players and the game froze again. After restarting the game and going back to the franchise everything works as normal (for now). 

    Annoying to say the least, but we can at least get around it.
