Found a fix for this if anyone needs it. Press the touchpad on the controller, scroll over to characters (R1) and select your coach. That should do it. Been searching for months for this fix even contacted EA. No luck. Even deleted a franchise that I was multiple years into. Crazy EA doesn’t even have the answer!!

    Are you in franchise mode or face of franchise? Face if franchise didn’t have the “character” option when you hold the touchpad.
