@EA_Blueberry You & the team should watch this. It’s how the entire community feels. Y’all had precision passing back in madden 10 & tackle battles back in 2017. You just take it out say you revamp it & it’s all the same. For real though just watch the YouTube clip but y’all won’t because y’all are all about making those micro transactions. Can’t wait til 2k gets back into this. This half hearted stuff is getting old. No one even makes an effort anymore & it’s sad. I for one will not be buying this anymore til y’all do something different.

Plus on top of it y’all said you’ve listen to the community hahaha right. There have been a lot of people ask about superstar mode to be brought back but now it’s some stupid “hey you gotta prove it on a 1 year deal. Instead of what it use to be. Who wants to go into year 5 on a prove it deal? Nobody. Madden 20 had it going in the right direction then upper management probably put there 2 cents in & now it’s you not even getting to play your full career. Nobody wants that crap. I’d rather do the combine have a chance to be drafted high then have some storylines…..no damn cap on your attributes realistic contracts other than these stupid 3 yr half assed deals……sweet geezus madden 23 is actually a combination of stuff they took out years ago.
- 3 years ago@jtcamp1981 Haha, I also watched this earlier today as well. The sentiment and tone is EXACTLY how those of us that want an actual simulation NFL football game sound and feel. The important thing though, is those of us that feel that way need to abstain from buying the game now or ever going forward until EA makes palpable wholesale changes in not just the direction of the game, but how they treat their customers in terms of giving them what they want, not what makes them the most easy micro money. The dollar is the vote that counts. Don't forget that, everybody. If you're fed up with copy/paste versions of the game, and want them to focus on Simulation football (which is what their contract is supposedly all about btw) in instead of game modes that are about anything other than simulation football, then you need to not buy the game this year and tide yourself over with something else that you either already own from the past or invest in a different football franchise for the time being. That's the only way real change will come about. Sad that that's where we're at, but since EA and the NLF decided to eliminate competition for an NFL simulation football product long ago so those are the options. They made that bed with those decisions, so now they'll have to sleep in it. If you don't like where the game is at, make your voice heard with your wallet by keeping it in your pocket this year. Cheers.

I want to let you know I'm watching Angry Joe's video right now. I removed the link though as this video is not appropriate to share on the forums because of the vulgar language that is not suited for younger audiences. We'll make sure the Community team is aware of the sentiment seen from the players commenting on that video. I think that is where most of the value will come out of the video as fans who play the game will comment below with their thoughts. I do not know whether he actively plays the game each year but he isn't on my radar as someone that immediately comes to mind that represents the Madden community. That doesn't mean he doesn't have valid points but so far his theory is the game is regurgitated and speculating on things about the game he hasn't been able to confirm from a hands on gameplay perspective. I've been playing the Closed Beta myself and immediately noticed significant changes from the FieldSENSE system. Hopefully his thoughts on the gameplay when the game is released will change his viewpoint on how we are honoring John Madden this year.
What I can tell you from a fan that has played the game for over 20+ years and someone that watches NFL games every Sunday with the NFL Sunday Ticket...I'm very excited for this season of Madden for the limited amount time I've had so far with it.- jtcamp19813 years agoNew Traveler@EA_Blueberry I understand the language & I also have played madden for 20+ years. Y’all took out superstar mode for FOTF and instead of allowing the player to do combine like in madden 20 you drop em off in their 5th year as a prove it contract? Who comes up with those ideas? NOBODY wants to be dumped into their 5th year. Just like the lackluster effort the last 2 years in FOTF not even allowing a gamer to play HIS career mode but no we have the team telling us when we can plan & to me that’s stupid.
Road to glory is why I played ncaa football loved it. But if this is any indication of what is to come i won’t waste my money. I don’t need the TEAM at EA telling me when I can play a game & when I can’t. Don’t need someone capping my attributes or trying to babysit my player which is MY PLAYER NOT ANYONE ELSES. These both go hand in hand. People want the original career mode back since y’all took it out in madden 08……do you yourself remember playing it? Controlling you own player & how fun it was? Then you have the team take that away? We want control of our player & to play a full season without y’all taking it away from us.- EA_Blueberry3 years ago

Playing your own career from the start has always been available if you create the player under the creation center to upload to a roster for a new Franchise to develop them. You just won't live out the storyline and cinematics. The Face of the Franchise stories have all been different each year where you're thrusted into an NFL experience. Maybe the future College game will feature the career mode you're interested in so it doesn't feel like a duplicate feature when compared to Madden NFL 23. I don't really mind the 5th year scenario because this is something you actually see in the real NFL. Players are at a crossing point in their career where their career might have not started off the way they wanted and still have plenty to prove. I haven't seen any feedback on these forums about the 5th year scenario and how others wouldn't want to be dumped in that situation. It's great to hear feedback from Face of the Franchise fans though as I don't see it often when compared to MUT and Franchise mode in general. Glad to hear it's a mode in the game that you are passionate about.
