Community ManagerThis sounds like the console is overheating, especially if you have to unplug the console before it will turn back on.
Try cleaning the vents, fan and heat sinks/fins with a vacuum cleaner.
Using a can of compressed air can clean a console better than other methods, make sure it is plugged out of the electricity and that you hold the can vertically so no liquid comes out.
Storing the console out in the open rather than in an enclosed cabinet can help too.

It’s not overheating it only does it with Madden on mine also!
I am convinced it has something to do with your EA account transferring over to next gen. Madden 22 nor 23 worked on my PS5. But, it was only the ps5 version. The ps4 version ran fine on my Ps5. I have sent my console back for repair, tried every troubleshooting step EA and Sony have instructed, and have voiced my frustration with both to no avail.
EA is well aware of this issue and I have countless threads with bug reports from the last two years. Yet, each and every one of those threads end up ghosted and anchored. It’s unbelievable.
