Madden 23 Reviews Are In On PC and They Are BAD
So, after a long internal debate about whether or not I would be buying Madden 23 on my PC (no reason to buy it on my dusty old XB1), I went to the reviews on Steam, Reddit, and other sites to get an opinion. The biggest hit was no doubt, the lack of the epic feature, "FieldSense". I saw many CMs telling consumers that old-gen systems that do not have FieldSense are simply missing out on a single feature of the game. The problems are
1) Most gaming PCs can run new gen games without problem
2) The communication with the Madden team and PC gamers was incredibly poor, leading to MANY people buying the game without being aware that the main feature of the game was missing
3) The inclusion of FieldSense, makes the game a completely different play experience. Everything that happens on the field feels more genuine and realistic, so to tell consumers that they are missing out on a single feature is a complete lie. They are missing out on a totally (less frustrating) play experience within each game
4) The price is still $60 for a clearly inferior game. Minus the updated GUI, the game on old gen is practically the exact same, and that is VERY frustrating.
There are literally 100s of people on Steam whose review is basically, "getting a refund, this is not the game that was advertised to me"
Hell, even the trailer on Steam makes it feel very implied that all of the features of the game are available.
So because of this, I along with MANY other PC gamers, will not be paying for this game. I love football, but I hate a good scam.
