Madden 23' "There was an error retrieving your currency balance"

Got an XBox Series S for my boys for Christmas with Madden 23'. Worked great until this morning. When they select the Madden game from the home screen the error message comes up, "There was an error retrieving your currency balances". It has the option to "select A" to confirm but hitting A on the controller won't advance the screen...it's just stuck. Can't play any part of the Madden game. Any ideas on how to fix this?
