Madden rating adjustments make no sense

Can someone please explain to me how the madden rating adjuster comes up with the player's speed ratings and other ability ratings? I was playing the madden 23 beta and I went and look at the seahawk roster and saw  Tariq Woolen had only a 90 speed. This guy ran a 4.26 at the combine he should be a 97 at least speed. I decided to pick a random player with speed and look up their 40 time to compare. Tony pollard for the Dallas cowboys ran a 4.5 40 time and he has a 93 speed this makes no sense. Kenneth walker iii was one of the best running backs in the draft this year is rated only a 59 overall with only a 88 speed lol. This guy ran 4.3  a faster 40 time than tony pollard please EA make it make sense. Another thing that never made sense to me is when a player is injured why do you take their ratings down when they haven't played.

These ratings could be subject to change leading up to the launch. I know the game designers explained in the past they want rookies to feel like "rookies" which is why their ratings are still lower than 2nd or 3rd year players. They want to give them room to grow where their attributes will rise enough to feel at the same level as the best NFL veterans.

  • @12thman74 You realize you are asking for ratings logic from the same people that rated Collin Kap better than half the starting QBs in the NFL last year. I agree with you, a lot of things are subjective when it comes to ratings but speed is pretty provable. Fast is fast regardless if it is a rookie or a veteran. I understand what 12thman74 says, but speed is speed regardless of what year the player is in.
