Maximum number of x-factor players on field
Why are teams only allowed a maximum of 6 x-factor players (in a game) with a maximum of 3 on offense and 3 on defense?
I've noticed that regardless of how many x-factor players are on a team's roster, when a game is played the maximum limits are applied and some x-factor players are reduced to superstar players without their x-factor abilities.
The above situation seems to make the "selfless" x-factor ability much less useful:
a) if you only have one x-factor player and that player has the selfless ability then its a waste of time.
b) at best if you have all three offense/defense players with x-factor abilities on the field then the selfless ability can trigger just the other two.
I love the inclusion of superstar and x-factor abilities and, well done to the Madden developers for making some players more special than others to really distinguish the likes of Aaron Donald, JJ Watt, Patrick Mahomes, etc. However, when developing new players over several years and finally seeing them become x-factor players, its annoying when their abilities are disabled. The goal of any NFL franchise is to have as many top players as possible within the salary cap. Therefore why set a limit on the number of x-factor players that can use their abilities in a game?
Is it possible to remove these restrictions on the number of x-factor players in a game? Otherwise could the limits be increased? Or as a last resort could we choose which players can take their x-factor abilities into a game. i.e. if you have 7 x-factor players on the roster (5 defense and 2 offense) you can choose to bring in 5 on the defense and 1 on offense or whatever combination to still make up the total of 6. In this example only one player would be reduced to a superstar.
Thanks Madden team for listening to my comments. Loving playing the game at the moment.
Cheers
They should allow you to pick which 3 players are going to have X-Factor for that particular game
