Mut Squads Strategy Items

I was wondering if the strategy items only boost your players or if they boost all players in the game. Will the offensive captain’s strategy item boost my defensive players if he has a defensive strategy item? Is it the same with theme team boosts? Does the head coach items do anything? If anyone has any clue it would be great to know.
