Name Profanity

Yeah, the name thing is a huge issue for me. Like I get trying to stop the profanity, etc, but let's be real, most of us r adults that wanna mimic as close to the real product as possible. And if a name is in the game on a real player, then it should be usable in the game. U can't use * even though it's short for Richard. Cox is unavailable, Hooker as u mentioned. Even some names just trigger it for no type of reason. There should be a filter option or something where if u r 18+, u don't even have to worry about the name profanity when it isnt meant to be anyway b/c it's a name.

I agree 100% about the filter.  You should be able to turn it on or off and with a password if you have children.  It should be up to use.

Cox is a real last name, Hooker is a real last name, LaPorta is a real last name, among others that are not allowed.

In my league, I give everyone a 99 everything player of a team need, and I let guys go crazy on names. There's names that aren't even real we've used, that again weren't profane in the slightest, yet the game said it couldn't be used due to that. But yeah, honestly, there's a ton of things inside Madden, and in franchise specifically that could use toggle sliders to turn on and off. There's so much they could give the commisiners to use at their disposal to make leagues better, and they just dc.

I've been asking for a simple toggle on restarts for like 2 yrs now. B/c once a game goes final, u can't force a loss for someone having a bunch of restarts. And being able to limit how many a user can have, helps to turn around and force loss them for not completing the game within the alloted #. I've had so many ideas for commish tools, and just things in general to improve upon franchise that it's unreal.

These are all names associated with college players coming into the 2023 or 2024 draft.  To make this game more realistic it would be nice to be able to use all of these names.

The two most profane names are already in the game, Hooker and Cox.  Cox also isn’t the right spelling of the real profane name.

Can we please add these names.  This is absolutely ridiculous, none of these outside of 1 or 2 aren’t even close to being profane.  This is taking it a few steps too far.

You need to add a filter so take them all off or leave them all available.  So step up here after more than a year of people asking and make the necessary changes.

Wow I can't even call * Butkus or * LaBeau by name here. I can't tell you that Night Train Lane's first name is *, * Enberg was able to use his name on NFL Broadcasts for decades as a commentator, but he wouldn't be able to use it here? We can't even mention former VP * Cheney. I guess * Vermeil can only be referred to as Coach. I can't even gripe about not being able to name a player after my favorite Robin; * Grayson without it be it being replaced with a *.
