I would bet it was because you were given a PS5 version. I have the PS4 and was given a PS5 code. Unfortunately, no one is willing to help with this issue. This apparently happened with many teams and many of the older consoles. The Season Ticket Rep tells you that it is on EA and EA tells you to contact your Season Ticket Rep. It's an absolute clown show.
@alcorn28 just got an email from my nfl team: it says ea sent a code only for ps5s, regardless if you asked for a ps4 version. The nfl is supposedly working with ea to resolve this. No further details.
