No Intentional Grounding penalty for AI

Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Summarize your bug: Does anyone else have this issue? It's so incredibly frustrating. 3-4 times each game (at least), I break through the line and am about to sack the quarterback when he throws the ball away. He's in the pocket, so it's clearly intentional grounding. The announcers even talk about the QB throwing the ball away, so I know that the AI used the throw away feature. It really hurts my sack stats and makes the game much more difficult because I can't get sacks, so they always just lose a down when I'm about to sack, rather than lose a down and yards. I've searched online and found similar complaints in the past. Is this still an issue? Will EA ever fix it?
How often does the bug occur?: Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves?: Attempt to sack the QB when playing against the CPU.
What happens when the bug occurs?: The QB throws the ball away while in the pocket and the ruling is an incomplete pass.
What do you expect to see?: The QB should scramble to leave the pocket before throwing it away, take a sack, or a penalty for Intentional Grounding should be called.

Or does the AI get called for this penalty for anyone else? Or do they not throw it away on nearly every play right before getting sacked? I'd like to know because maybe it's something in my settings.

As an update after today's patch:

The QB scrambles more, which is great; however, when they throw away in the pocket, they still don't get called for intentional grounding. It has gotten better, they'll scramble about 20% of the time, take the sack 20% of the time, and throw it away in the pocket 60% of the time without ever being called for a penalty. So, it's still very frustrating and needs to be addressed.

Seems like yall find a way to mess madden up every year. No intentional grounding? Thats a major part of the game. And whats up wit this automatic challenge * making me lose timeouts.

AI never gets penalized in my games either. I had a couple times where I would have the QB in the grasp and he's facing backwards, then tries to throw the ball. So he's in the pocket, in the grasp, and the ball only goes 1 yard. If it's not a fumble, then it should be Intentional Grounding. Why have the option to turn the penalty on or off? And it's amazing that on the very next play the AI breaks a huge gain. But that's beside the point.
Please EA fix this issue.

Very true I have exact same issues he says. Dead on! Not even always very close to sack feel like qbs with paranoid or often trait will throw away ball almost always with free rusher. It would be fine if they wher out the pocket or got the penalty!

Exactly. I think this is the worst problem right now. Makes playing against AI almost unplayable. @EA_Barry, any chance they'll fix this?

No, nearly every time i break through the line the qb instantly throws it out of bounds.

Yeah, it's so annoying, yet no answer from EA. I'm so hoping that they'll address this soon.

In franchise mode, this is just one of numerous problems,

I have reported them all and yet 3 months later NONE of them have been fixed.

I keep reopening the case and it gets closed right away without fixing or no notification on why they keep closing the case.
